Dont need his diva attitude back in the dressing room

Be shocked if Ole let him come back

Hell no!

And he's bang average as a footballer.

Which is why nobody wants to pay him what Ed does.

my instinctive reaction was "god, no"

as far as i can see he has find a tiny bit of form in italy, not enough to convince anyone he is "back", but maybe just enough to warrant a second chance.

i don't know anything about his divaesque attitude, read some piffle about a training ground clash with greenwood, didn't sound too dramatic, don't know the full story.

if we can get CL and invest properly in some decent forwards - or even free transfers like fraser - there is no room for him. but if finances are really stretched, and we cannot find a buyer, it is probably an uncomfortable truth that he would indeed offer us more over a season than lingard, pereira, or mata.

Fck no.

Having a (by all accounts) moody, underperforming player on obscene wages is not good for this young squad at all.

We should pay someone to take him if it comes to it

I don’t want him back but I’d there any evidence of this behaviour from him.

He scored again tonight. He's on a very good run of form since lockdown tbf. Maybe an extended period of rest, finally, has helped him. Though it's in a dreadful league

Ashley Young has quite a few goals and assists. It’s a poor league. Don’t think Sanchez would turn it around if he returned.

Glad he’s doing well though, never had anything against him and I don’t think his failure at United was due to lack of effort. Just feel he has too many miles on the clock.

Yeah his effort was never in doubt. He was just a bit burned out and on a completely different wave length to his team mates. Even his 6 yard passes were 'percentage balls,' where it was always as likely to go out of play as find a team mate

hopefully this little burst of form will persuade inter to look into a permanent deal. i think italian taxes are currently lower than uk ones, and if he's happy, and his dogs like italian dog food, they might be able to get to a wage that would satisfy him.

i still don't want him back, but would he go a whole season, like lingard, without a single PL goal or assist? would he offer less than chong? when ighalo's loan ends, could he cover for martial as a striker?

Do you pay someone 400k a week to be better than Lingard and Chong though?

the problem is that we're presumably paying him 150-200k a week right now to play for someone else.

so the incremental cost to have him at the club is probably no more than lingard's wages (100k a week). and i think his bonuses were as much related to goals etc as they were to appearances? so they'd only kick in if he actually did something for us.

the bigger issue is that we'd probably end up paying both sanchez and lingard to do sod all for us, because no one will take jesse off our hands.

Have we maybe considered that Bruno/Pogba combination might actually bring the best out of Alexis?

He's got way more quality to go along with him now than he had before and it could help

If we got 15-20 mill for him though it would kind of offset that.

Having had to endure Dan James I’m starting to wonder about this.

He’s played with Pogba plenty of times and has still been awful. Bruno may help but I still feel he’s too far past it now.

Another fair point. Starting to lose faith in him rapidly. Offers nothing.

Ole will never be a proper student of Fergie until he takes an attacking player and tries to convert him into central midfielder. Sanchez could be that player.

posted on 25/7/20

In all seriousness, if we can get Inter to take him off our hands that’d be a good move for us. He’s just not worth the wages. And he obviously doesn’t want to be at the club.

This statement alone just says it all. Insanity.

and his unwillingness to lower his demand.

OP. Where did you pull this nugget from?
