Not sure about the ins and outs of FA regulations, but I don't think there is one.
Can't recall any player being banned from playing football due to a criminal conviction.

And if that’s true, that should shut up anyone calling for a ban.

that was for assaulting a fellow player on the training ground. he received no FA ban when he served 6 months in jail for assault unrelated to football (see also lee bowyer, woodgate, marcos alonso etc)

Club captain picked for England, found guilty of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and repeated attempts of bribery, then dropped from the England squad.
It's all falling into place nicely. 🙂

Dele was, so was Bernado Silva, both operating `outside of their employment` as you put it.
Assault is assault in my book.
