Swap for Kante

There's an idea!

Although that's more Arsenal's style these days

Rinse then for every rouble we can

£50m should clinch it

We shouldn’t be selling him to Chelsea. He’s too good.

He’s better than Kepa who they splashed fckin wads if cash on. Fair enough age isn’t on his side, but no way should we be letting them take him for an insignificant fee when it goes a long way to improving one of their 2 weak areas.

Your best keeper the last two years too

4 options on the table so far
Chelsea, Leeds, Everton and Aston Villa are instead

Should add that I do like Romero, he's a solid pro and has been a great free transfer for us. Done a great job when called upon and if he really wanted the move, I wouldn't outright deny it.

Would prefer him to go to Villa, they love signing a new keeper every year don't they? Softener for Grealish?

Would be a decent deal for everyone I think - Romero in theory is not as strong as what we have, so don't see huge issues with us letting him go there.

Regardless of him being not as good as what we have (which is debatable tbf), if they're struggling to improve that position going in to the season and we give them Romero, he could be the difference between a league position if he saves them in 2 or 3 games where Kepa wouldn't have.

I think for us a lot depends on what kepa turns up. First year or last year. If he goes back to his decent (if not unreal) level of his first year it will be a huge improvement

you think he starts as No1 this term nick...?

Yeh, I'm really not sure that would be the case.

To be fair Romero would be a big upgrade over Kepa. If I was Man Utd manager I would sell De Gea.

Doubt we will 'single-transaction' sell to Chelsea unless we get someone in return

I see him going to Aston Villa eventually

It is worrying how bad De Gea has got though. Nearly any shot not directly at him and its a goal these days.

Only saw the highlights but Dave looked like he had a very good game for Spain last night

I watched the game last night, and DDG was outstanding, his saves earned Spain a draw.
