He has it in his locker to be a world class manager. In his first full season he took United to within a few places of winning the title for God's sake!

Well, that's a selective interpretation. Regardless of position, we were nowhere near winning the title, just like Mourinho in 2018 when he got us to second.

Agree that Solskjaer deserves time and support though.

52 with a passionate defence of his son here.

We beat this season's CL finalists PSG 3-1 away. Bayern only beat them 1-0 at a neutral venue. That makes us the best team in Europe. That makes Ole the best manager in the world.

If 'so let's see how the season goes' is passionate defence, your homilies to Mourinho are hardcore pronography. It's all projection with you, isn't it, Wahl?

Hmmmm 2016/2017 treble winners or 2019/2020 treble semi final losers? Hmm not in Mourinho's league at all.

I would call AWB a success for sure.

Maguire too, but pzoplzs viewpoint is skewed because of the price, which was ludicrous.
But if we had signed him from, say Aberdeen, for twenty million everyone would have been raving about him; It's worth saying again, Ole doesn't control the price.

I though Ighalo was a loan, or did I miss we signed him, which is quite possible.
Also I thought he did well in his limited game time;

Don't agree with you there.

At that price, we should have invested in someone who would dominate our defence and who have everything in his locker.

Maguire doesn't and now we're left wondering what we can do to strengthen a defence that has cost nearly £200 million to put together.

That's not on Ole necessarily and we don't know who went all out for him, but if Ole is the one pulling those strings and identifying targets then he identified the wrong one... it seems currently, anyway.

If anything we underpaid for Maguire. If we had paid £20m more then he might have come with a bit more pace. You have to pay big money for these things.

Hmm Google gives that as hold your tail with a gun. I think it lost something in the translation, or it's an aphorism and I'm missing the point.

But they all say he is great defensively, and even one or two that he's forward play is improving.
I'm old fashioned I like the defenders to defend well.

Me too. But apparently in the modern game a RB should play more like a winger than a defender. Something that AWB struggles with.
