Pub & Restaurant Curfew 10pm

After 10 is more likely to be pissssed up people who can't social distance for toffee?

Plus the chance of spread is directly proportional to contact time so even shutting pubs for 30 minutes more would have a potential direct effect on new infections.

But I do take your point to some extent and ultimately it's things like a proper test track and trace system that is needed so the rest is just window dressing.

But won’t people just go to the pub earlier, or just carry on afterwards at somebody’s house?

Come on Sizz , everyone knows that Corona always goes out after 10pm,
Same as it does not like to go to schools or hangout with groups bigger than six people .

It don,t like cinemas and absolutely refuses to use public transport , it also has a fear of flying.

Other than that it will fack you up if you don,t follow these steps.

government is too scared to shut down completely and still want to be seen to do something. so they get this silly measure. They are too worried about future elections and voters sentiment than dealing with the crisis appropriately.

Lets be honest mate if they had any clue they would just shut the country down again, he should do it know as these new measures will not do anything what so ever .

Even if its for a month get the numbers down we go again as soon as there up repeat , its the only way to stay in control till a cure is found.

I’d like to think this is based on research and science.

If the risk and spread is worsened at this time, when more alcohol has been consumed, then it makes sense.

The issue for me is perhaps that it doesn’t go far enough and that we don’t have control of the important parts of this - track and trace, airports etc.

I’ve no issues with staged changes but it has to be backed up.

The world beating track & trace system they promised would be up and running by June.

Yesterday I tried 18 times to get a test. I live in London. 18 times.

It kept just telling me to try later. When I did get a location it was a three hour round trip away.

When I clicked on the location it told me there was no slots available

It’s an utter shambles. This is all down to this government outsourcing to their mates, including g4s and not awarding contracts to people who know what they are doing.

Yep, my mum has been coughing quite a lot the last few days and the website just keeps saying it’s busy for booking a test. A shambles is an understatement, these cretins are costing lives because they’ve no clue what to do.

Voting Tory costs lives

And yes I do have an agenda against these Eton cants

My kids can’t go to school and I can’t go to work, even though I’m an ‘essential’ worker until I get a negative test.

They will still win the next election though because they will have a nice slogan.

Same as Trump. He likes to make up things and people believe him, so he has a strong chance of being re-elected!

Anyway, think Leyton Orient announcement is due anytime for the game tonight.

Honestly

What would labour do differently do you think?

I dislike all government parties, I don't vote, I have my reasons..... I'm just curious about your views?

How many months of this and we still don't have a system that works.

From my experience in working in the Labs, it was wrong to give contracts to Deloitte etc for the logistics of it. We were getting forecasts for the number of tests we were supposed to receive and Deloitte always got it wrong.

However, the issue at the moment is that the labs are backlogged (they have been since late August). Dido admitted herself that the test sites have been told to restrict access to tests while the labs catch up.
