it’s tough to play for United where you do nothing for 80 mins and have to make 1 or 2 saves and keep your concentration.

Its Brighton and Leeds ffs in the league cup.... he could very well go on to be a top top class keeper but let's not ahead of ourselves here, there are still mistakes in there

Crystal Palace managed to score 3 already this season. You have been giving away 2 or 3 decent chances a half for the past 6 or 7 seasons at least.

Fair
He’s definitely knocking on the door
Never in doubt, should be our current number 1
DDG barely had to make a save v Brighton tbf last week.
If he does as well as Romero last season in the cups, he will be pushing for a starting spot by the middle of the season.
As soon as DDG makes a mistake or two, Henderson will come in.
It will be up to him to make himself undroppable.

Then we will have a reserve keeper on 375k a week.
Imagine how much Hendo will want when he becomes no. 1.

Unless De Gea regains the form we know he’s capable of.
Much too soon to say whether he's ready or able to become our #1 long term, especially after two performances without the crowd pressure and atmosphere of a packed Old Trafford in a big game.
That said, he's got a certain presence and confidence about him that I think other keepers who have failed here simply lacked. I'm thinking of the likes of Foster, Howard and so on who, whilst good goalkeepers, often looked a bit like deer in the headlights at United but very good in a more suitable environment. Henderson comes across as though he'd relish being number one at a big club. Time will tell of course.
Not sure wether he's any better than de gea with his feet going on 2 or 3 occasions in this evenings game

The lad has already spoken about how he thinks he could become the best in the world. I've no idea if he has that ability, but I like the confidence. Hopefully he can stay focused.

Yeah if DDG remains on the bench we'd need to ship him out, Alexis style
Just needs to keep performing in these cup games and he'll get his chance.
I hope Ole has the balls to give him CL games (I highly doubt it though)
De gea had 2 or 3 seasons where he looked unbeatable.
The past 2 years he's been a deer in headlights.
If he doesn't improve this season he has to go as he's cost us loads recently
There’s no rush, more games like this will do him a world of good and could even give De Gea more reason to up his own game. I hope Ole has told him he has a great opportunity to be our no1 but that also it won’t happen over night.
I did say we shouldn’t have given DDG a new contract. He’s apparently the highest paid player in the PL (if you don’t count the share of Bales wages paid by Real).
Henderson, please step up and be that guy 💎

It was more like 5 seasons to be fair. Wasn't he in the pl team of the season 5 out of 6 years? But the last 2 he's looked average. I think he needs a new challenge.
