Does feel a bit early for this as said win game in hand and it's 3 points behind despite scraping through several games.

Equally though no problem with that type of focus being on Celtic for a change
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed...takes focus off us.

Just keep adding points now.

Fingers and balls crossed.

There are many Tim’s who don’t like Lennon and will be very outspoken given the events of the last week or so. They might well be right but let’s see what happens in the next few weeks.

Fans turned on Celtic managers when the quality of play dipped. Lennon (twice), Deila, WGS, BR.

It’s what some fans do. They are entitled to do so but getting hysterical doesn’t help. Time will tell.

Yea, fitba fans are fickle phannies.

I think there’s justification in criticising Lennon for the performances and poor results last 3 games but yeah don’t think it’s time for him to go. What a world of diff 2 wins this week would do.

Heed you forgot Mowbray too

When el Hamed gets back we will be far more secure

Then we have Julian and Bitton

Edouard up top

Forrest ( meh ) and Johnston as wingers

. different team
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Add to that a Scottish Cup Semi on Sunday, if we win it, we're going for a quadruple treble.

We win the game in hand and we're three points from Rangers.

Rangers are playing really well and have been all season, that will not last, no team keeps it's great form for a full season. Injuries, covid and other factors will play a part.

The teams will be neck and neck by Xmas, then the hard bit will start.

Mass fookin hysteria by Celtic fans and ex-players.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair..

As a Rangers man, I just want to see difficulties at Celtic, but Lenny has been good enough until now.

I just don't get how bhoys turn on bhoys who do call Lenny out.

But, that might be personality clash among fans more than Lenny or Celtic.

New year we were Billy big baws, and Look what happened...and Stevie was getting pelters off beats and bhoys then.

It's a blip combined with Rangers improving...not a sackable offence, imo

At least the others won things, Mowbray was a complete disaster and deserved the bullet 👍

First off I don’t think we have been terrific all season.

I think we have been more effective than last season without being spectacular too often.

Take Sunday - two early goals then saw the game out. We were far from terrific tbh. Same in the OF game. Same in several other games.

We have plenty of improving to do. Aribo to get back up to speed, Roofe to kick on and really put pressure on Morelos who has been poor.

As for Lennons comments- I heard some of them on the radio. I really don’t think a lot of it really needed said. Well maybe the defence of Duffy as Commons in particular was a bit OTT seemingly.

I haven’t really seen anyone in the media calling for Lennon to be sacked. So not sure what that was a reference to.

Same with the ‘lies’ chat. Who has been telling lies?

It all made Lennon look a bit paranoid and insecure tbh. And he has let the world know loud and clear that he pays a lot of attention to mainstream and social media and if it is negative it really gets to him.

His comment that Celtic would be on the same points as last season if Aberdeen hadn’t equalised was comical.

If SG had come out with that one he would get slaughtered.

If Martin Boyle had been correctly flagged as offside for Hibs equaliser against us Celtic would be 8 points behind right now.😂

The whole ‘if’ (my auntie had baws etc) chat is absolute desperation.

And btw Celtic still have the biggest, most expensive and arguably the best squad in Scotland.

Of course this is a blip and they will get motoring again.

The question is just how far they drop behind just now whilst they are toiling.

I didn't think Rangers were that good in the OF, but to be fair they didn't have to be.

Celtic have had;

Julien
Bitton
Elhamed
Christie
Forrest
McGregor
Griffiths
Eddy

All out for some reason or another.

Imagine Rangers had similar..?

Goldson
Helander
Tavernier
Kamara
Arlfield
Kent
Morelos

How many points would Rangers have dropped..?

But we have had several key players out for most of the season. Most only returned just before old firm game. Our squad is much better this season and we generally have quality replacements

McGregor
Katic
Aribo
Jack
Roofe
Defoe

Oh forgot balogun was out for 3 weeks as well or was it more?

The difference is we don’t have the players to bring in that Celtic do.

You may have been missing CBs but you could still field Ajer (valued @£15m) and Duffy (£2m loan fee + £40k a week).

Eduoard was out but you could still bring in a striker in Klimala who cost more than any striker Rangers could in the OF match. Plus you could pair him with Elyanoussi who cost Southampton £16m.

Of course Celtic were impacted by losses. But you had plenty of quality available. Your bench cost about £10m!

The real question for me is why the players you did put out fare so badly. Celtic had more than enough on the pitch to make a game of it.

We started with Brandon Barker ffs. Even with the players Celtic had missing I severely doubt Barker would even have made your bench.

Oh that's right hadn't Barker just returned from a month or so being injured. You could argue that's a benefit.

Credit to him though he worked hard in of game

He can fvck off.

A minority of fans?

He's already p¡ssed the players off by the looks of it, now he's coming for the fans and when he knows the writing is on the wall, he'll have a pop at the board.

He's a fud.

I just cannie listen to the whole “we’ve had a lot of players out “chat

Would having players like Christie, Edouard, Julien and others back make your starting XI better.....yes of course it would....but is it not the case that all those guys were available when you needed last minute goals to get past Dundee Utd and St Johnstone.....and did the loss of those guys really make the players that did take part in the old firm play quite so badly.

Sorry, not buying that one

posted on 27/10/20

Aye I keep hearing all of those players would have started.

There is no way Duffy wouldn't have started so are they saying ajer isn't a starter either.

I take it elamed starts over frimpong? Again though is that definite?

I doubt both Griff and eddy start.

Forrest has been a passenger in most recent of games.

Christie is probably a big miss but again dropping a decent player to put him in.

You were maybe short 2 or 3 starters. Celtic should absolutely have been able to cope.

Agree 100%. It`s why we have a squad. We have been p!sh. Manager`s job to sort it. His track record says he won`t.
