Interesting half, didn't hate it, didn't love it.

We look a bit better going forward to a degree though things breaking down with the front three. Traore as usual not giving much and surely Neto would have been much more heavily involved. Ait-Nouri gets about but sometimes taking the easy option tonight.

Almost looks like we're not used to playing a back 4.

Can't quite work out why it's Boly on the left, where he's difinitely better, and Kilman on the right, where he's not.

The problem with Traore is always that he doesn't work hard off the ball. Great when you can get it to him with some space or on the break; he isnt going to work to get those opportunities though.

Probably to give Somedo more license to get forward

I quite liked the way we attacked more as a unit, 10 shots, 5 on target is good from 40% possession and but for some very good goalkeeping we'd have been 2 or 3 up. Bit shaky at the back though.

Kilman is suffering from lack of confidence hence all the balls back to Patricio. Never seen Patricio hoof it up the park so many times in 45 minutes

0-0 at the break was a fair bet. Not sure about the back 4, played too far apart at times and Saints have played through the gaps. We’d have paid for that if Ings was playing. Had a few decent attacks but not got Raul into the game at all. Like to see Vitanha or Otasowie get a chance instead of Moutinho after an hour

Wolves 5 on target in the first half of a game has to be a positive. Rui has made one save!

Thought I’d have a punt

As first halves go it was no worse than our normal level and we actually created a few genuine chances, albeit mostly from dead balls.

Raul often pops up with a goal when he’s had a quiet game

Just thinking but I’m not sure I enjoy watching the games like I did last season and certainly the season before !

Always thought we could get something ...not so sure now I guess

I dont want him to. I want him to make more runs in behind or make more steps to get free in space. You dont have to run round like a mad man to do that.
