Some people are overeacting to this result considering the injuries. We are top of the table on 8 points with 3 major injuries so we couldn't change anything.

Not sure why your refusing to accept the obvious.
Even Gerrard accepted there was fatigue and Benfica took advantage of it. He didn’t make changes last season when we were struggling at nil nil to beat teams and continued when there was no plan.
Now we’re obviously playing brilliantly and it’s a good result. But think it’s more frustrating as feels similar to those games and dropped points

NEIL LENNON admits he is scratching his head at Celtic’s alarming slump in form, and that he resorted to asking his confidence-shorn players what has gone wrong after another crushing defeat at the hands of Sparta Prague.
The Celtic manager thinks that there is a psychological issue within his dressing room as he tries to find an answer to how a team who defeated Lazio in the Stadio Olimpico a little over a year ago can have regressed to the point where they were embarrassed yet again by Sparta last night.
“That is what I am scratching my head about,” Lennon said. “That’s the question I asked in the dressing room afterwards. Why we have gone the other way?
“I don’t know if it’s a lack of confidence in individuals or in the team themselves.We haven’t changed in the backroom team and the way we process training and analyse the games. I just think they are lacking a little bit of confidence at the minute as a group. That happens with the way results are going.
“I thought the performance, particularly in the second half, was really positive. Odsonne (Edouard) had a great chance to equalise and he was great tonight, it was a real positive to see him back playing so well. But defensively at the minute we are a little but unnerved at times and we have to remedy that as quickly as possible. It is a question we are asking ourselves.
“I was asking them why we’re conceding goals. Are we lacking confidence in ourselves? Are we lacking that as a group? It was a conversation I put out to the players to get their opinions.
“We’re hoping, having spoken about it, they can galvanise themselves from that.

“At the training ground they’re all in different dressing rooms and the only time they see each other is what they go out into the pitch.

Subs should've been made as it was abundantly clear to everyone that some of the players were out on their feet.
Hagi, Itten, Bassey, Helander all could've and should've come on to add some energy to a team that was dying on its erse.

I've already said the second goal was world class and a point isn't bad.
But the truth is we needed a change (s). Benfica made changes and finished far stronger than us because of it - and nearly nicked all three points because of it.

I was accused of having my head in my sand last season when I backed Gerrard.
But my one issue with him then was lack of a plan B or subs to change a game. So it’s obviously frustrating when the same happens tonight and the players were clearly dead on their feet.
Perspective is fine, but should also remember we were in a similar position this time last year, even outplayed Porto. Then we collapsed after Christmas. Similar to how we collapsed two weeks ago, and again tonight.
I'm gutted but realistic enough to appreciate that you've moved on a fair bit
Is anyone in any doubt we qualify though? Not one bit of doubt in my mind.

Not sure why your refusing to accept the obvious.
Even Gerrard accepted there was fatigue and Benfica took advantage of it. He didn’t make changes last season when we were struggling at nil nil to beat teams and continued when there was no plan.
Now we’re obviously playing brilliantly and it’s a good result. But think it’s more frustrating as feels similar to those games and dropped points

There’s nothing I’m refusing to accept. It’s all to easy to say throw on a sub but I’ve explained why I think there weren’t any

No-one is arguing against the fact that there has been great progress but that is not an excuse for poor game /player management in the here and now.

Some people are overeacting to this result considering the injuries. We are top of the table on 8 points with 3 major injuries so we couldn't change anything.

When your two goals up with 20 mins to go and you end up drawing, for the second time in two games it feels like a defeat.
Made more frustrating watching the players blowing out their erse for those last twenty mins.

That's nonsense. He should have made changes. Ffs I'd even have brought on Barker just to get us up the park. In the end we were hanging on for a point. Changes were needed

I've already said the second goal was world class and a point isn't bad.
But the truth is we needed a change (s). Benfica made changes and finished far stronger than us because of it - and nearly nicked all three points because of it.
What would you have said had they nicked it at the death?
Before we tired we were in pretty much complete control. It then went downhill and could have cost us

I was accused of having my head in my sand last season when I backed Gerrard.
But my one issue with him then was lack of a plan B or subs to change a game. So it’s obviously frustrating when the same happens tonight and the players were clearly dead on their feet.
Perspective is fine, but should also remember we were in a similar position this time last year, even outplayed Porto. Then we collapsed after Christmas. Similar to how we collapsed two weeks ago, and again tonight.
