Top 4 = No problem

I wouldn't say it's "no problem", at least 2 really good teams will miss out on top 4 and fans may have to get used to that not automatically meaning their team has been terrible anymore.

Spurs, Chelsea and City are very good sides and that isn't even considering the likes of Leicester, Everton if they improve or Arsenal who won't be awful forever.

I think we're in a very good position for it but it's a tough league and 2 or 3 bad results can see a swing in all parts of the table. My Bias and optimism will always have me saying I think we'll finish top 4 but I'm sure the fans of more than 4 clubs are saying the same thing and the maths just doesn't add up.

Unsure what you mean about him 'slowly' getting better and better at using the squad.... 12 months ago he didn't have access to a good chunk of these players. He's developed and improved the squad and I'd say rather than patronising him and talking as if he's the late one to the party, give him credit for completely turning the squad around. We were able to almost completely change our 11 against Everton and that hadn't just fallen into his lap, he's been working at that for well over a year now. Our recruitment has been far sounder and we've done a great job of bringing through certain players, managing them well and muddling through a period where we had to start the likes of Pereira, Mata and James because we had no other choice. That wasn't that long ago.

Very good summary (apart from mentioning Arsenal 😂£

Everton have actually really improved since fans were allowed back in

Will be curious to see how fans allowed/disallowed changes through the season because it’s a clear advantage for the Liverpool clubs over others at the moment.

You saw in the EFL after we should’ve been 3 up, they got a corner and the fans roared and suddenly they had some momentum.

It’s a shame the competitions the Liverpool clubs are involved in will be tainted by that bias

Don't get to cocky until after we play Liverpool. The top 9 is very packed and will probably remain so for a while. 4 droped points could see us in 9th.

The problem is we got like near the worst goalkeeper in the premierleague. Solskjaer is blond to De Gea. Last season he says Romero doesn’t let him down and then drops him for De Gea in the cup semi-finals and you guessed it all 3 semi-finals De Gea had nearly a 0% save percentage replacing a keeper with near a 100% save percentage. You can see De Gea has lost his agility. We are now used to seeing shots that should be saves going in that we got used to it.

Henderson has a 78.6% save percentage in the premierleague even after 1 howler. https://fbref.com/en/players/e5a76dfe/Dean-Henderson
De Gea has 54.1% save percentage and played most of the games.

I hear what you're saying but I wish United fans would give the side and Ole the credit he deserves (the irony of saying I'm somehow patronising him....)

Those sides are good (Chelsea, Spurs, Everton etc) and yes some will miss out but it won't be us because we are better and Ole is learning how to make the advantages count (advantages that his decisions have helped create).

He hasn't been getting it right game in game out but he's getting better at using the squad well (during the late run last season he barely used the squad at all so it's fair to acknowledge development in this area)

At this stage, the table can swing wildly in any direction but honestly as football fans we should be able to recognise where the squad and manager are at and what they might be able to achieve in the short and long term.

There are many games left this season and I'm confident as someone who knows his football that we will separate ourselves from the majority of those good sides and finish in the top 4.

I knew it De Gea is useless. All he had to do was save a long range shot and an OG in the middle. He stood there both times. There goalkeeper made big saves but our goalkeeper does nothing again.

It is like Solskjaer is blind
