I guess I was looking for you guys take on it.

No worries.

You should give it a watch, it basically starts with an apology and a fairly full one at that. Before basically going on to say why they actually did nothing wrong, nothing is there fault and essentially not sorry at all.

Would it help if we had a full list of clubs, companies and job functions utilising the furlough scheme?

It should be public information seeing as its public money that’s funding it.

think the point is silver folk would have less of an issue if the club hadn't just spent the sum they did on the dubai trip.

I thought it was a Pritti Patel apology
He said sorry and then explained he really wasn’t it’s just that it went tats up
Goid to hear
Disarray at Celtic = better chance of us winning league
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Patel doesn’t even understand the restrictions herself yet here she is telling everyone to take her interpretation which is fundamentally wrong or suffer the consequences through the police flaming down.

How on earth can she and the fwcking police be allowed to go about their everyday jobs when they don’t even know the difference between law and guidance?

From there; how on earth do they measure compliance?

Mental.

I do see the similarities with rangers 9 in a row but I would say that was far more a case of rangers losing it than this is of Celtic doing so.

Rangers were still a strong squad and had good investment and recruitment. I think though Walter saying he was leaving has too much of an impact.

The thing I would say is different though is it's far more about what rangers have done this season.

Even if Celtic hadn't imploded the issue is we have been so significantly better and livi game aside (would argue we were very unlucky against a Hibs side in top form) haven't slipped up in the league.

Rangers have gone out and won it regardless of Celtic
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree

Look at the amazing run rangers have had in Europe too. Topped a group with Benfica in it. Undefeated.

It's been a great squad performance the rangers management and recruiting team deserve a lot of credit.

On the furlough, in itself its a sensible thing to do and I'd expect Rangers and many others do it soon. But right after Dubai it looks bad. Like when Aubayemang got his extension after Arsenal let people go.

Both the actions of a plc.

The trip was planned and likely paid for well in advance. It’s something we’ve always done in one form or another.

The pandemic is evolving all the time and with the belief that this will go on far longer than the middle of February and an impending likelihood that the finances will be hit by no fans attending even at the beginning of next season and even then in low numbers it makes perfect sense to seek government aid.

It’s not as though we haven’t contributed significant tax sums over the years is it?

They are completely unrelated but PR will associate them all the same.
