UK Airports still being open tells you all you need to know about the UK Government.

Another 4 years until whoever is still in the UK at that time has the chance to get rid.

Still counting that table?

There’s years of excess deaths to come in the hundreds of thousands due to this pandemic, whether as a direct result or collateral damage.

Maybe time to reflect then and see where we are in the grand scheme of things some time later when there is a proper review.

And no I’m not defending anyone. Nonetheless it’s amazing how many normal day to day Joee Blogg’s on here would handle all this so differently.

'Poor decision making', wuite. As poor as Boris's decision to visit Scotland on Thursday as part of a SNP recruitment drive despite all the advice and restrictions already in place. And for his lickspittle lap-dog Alister Jack* to argue the Johnson 'should go wherever he needs to go in his vital work against the pandemic' must surely mean that surgery will be necessary to retrieve his tongue from Boris's brown sheriff's badge.

Boris's track record of poor decision-making continues.

At which point whoever is in charge will do the same as Nic just did with the ferry enquiry and say 'we don't accept it'.

The truth is staring you in the face and the wait and see mob have been using that mantra for 6 months.

Denial of the truth from Trumo and Lennon is obvious but those dismissing the U.K. covid shambles are truest deluded. The poor decision making has been confirmed by scientists but deniers rail against it. Shameless

In the world.

Any country that continues to keep airports open during this, shouldn't complain about an increase of infections.

Even if that increase is due to a mutation from within their own borders that they have no control over?

Sakes man.

we don't know it originated here ony that it was discovered here after spreading unchecked through an area with minimal restrictions in place.

Add to that the other known variants, then add unknown ones and finally plain old vanilla covid then yes it should be obvious travel is stopped

I have. You’ve read as far as I can see one that says this. Every other one doesn’t.

I’ll wait until the vaccine is out and helping us as almost every other country falls further behind and maybe have a look then.

This almost daily finger pointing at Bojo whilst completely ignoring the SG’s record is baffling.

It’s like it’s done with some element of glee.

Italy with the harshest lockdowns in Europe is just behind us, as is Spain. France, Portugal and Germany worsening all the time.

And now they will be faced with lower than anticipated vaccines which will worsen things for them while we hopefully ease out at the same time.

I’ll wait thanks.

WTF are Japan and S. Korea doing about the appalling suicide rates of 15-20 per 100,000 - that's about 30,000 people - EVERY year! FFS.

I'm not going to get into a blame game again as I've made my feelings known numerous times on here and after watching yet another PMQs today where Johnson refused to answer ANY questions that were put to him I can't be bothered talking about the waste of space any more

what I do want to comment on is a dangerous narrative I've seen been passed around on social media claiming that suicides and self harm death rates/hospitalisations were up due to lockdown

this is completely FALSE they have actually fallen since the lockdowns began last year

the ONS have released figures backing this up

I hope it stops people using suicide as some sort of argument against COVID and lockdowns in particular

Suicides/self harm were an important subject before this and they'll be so after it, people need to stop pairing them off against COVID

sorry for going off topic but I felt it was kinda linked to this
