I have been surprised the UK never adopted the same strategy as over here in Australia, close the borders, and only allow very limited travel, with strict quarantine in hotels that travelers pay for themselves.
Borders also closed between counties ( over here counties are called states).
That would have seriously reduced the infection rates.
North Korea have been very efficient in how they handle covid cases. Today for example
0912hrs - 1 COVID Positive Case
0915hrs - 0 COVID Cases
0944hrs - 1 COVID Positive Case
0949hrs - 0 COVID Cases
1016hrs - 2 COVID Positive Case
1019hrs - 0 COVID Cases

Internationally and inter county.
It's more than just distance ginger. Australia is incredibly strict with border controls, it always historically has been prior to lockdown, and it certainly has been over the last year.
There has been literally no community spread of Covid for around 5 or 6 months here in West Australia, but still we cannot leave the country unless we request permission from the government, and even then it is unlikely to be granted unless special circumstances.
If they let us out, we would find it very hard to get back in.
Tens of thousands of Australians are still stuck outside Australia, unable to get back in. There is a cap on numbers allowed in each month.
Very strict, but very effective.

Someone mentioned to me that to become prime minister in the UK, you need to do various favours for business.
So British business leaders call in these favours, such as keeping borders open , because it's beneficial for certain business.
I don't know though, it's all speculation.

Cheltenham 2020...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lived every minute of it mate and won hundreds on the very last race. 20 or 25/1 as I recall.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
An example of mass gatherings that should not have be permitted.
The Government fvcked up, there’s no getting away from it.
p.s The current ‘lockdown’ is far from it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
She made mistakes granted but so did others

More cars on the road than there ever was.
Lots back at work and sticking the fingers up at everybody else.
The Government should be hounded out, Bojo is directly responsible for THOUSANDS of deaths from Covid.
Herd immunity.
Shake hands
