I suggest we stay away from games. That ‘lol teach them when the fans aren’t there.
The lack of action from the relevant bodies is a disgrace. Racism has to end now.

Social media is absolute garbage and is inhabited by toilet people. I have zero interest in it whatsoever, but I wouldn’t want to see the world stop because of online trolls.

Give me 200 grand a week and you can abuse me however you like. Sometimes these players need to have a thick skin and ignore these comments. The more attention they get, the happy they are.

Delete them or get off social media ffs, you don’t have to have these accounts.

Actually I remember seeing a black actor saying the opposite. People not caring or acknowledging it means it doesn't get a reaction and fades away.
I'm sure thereally are arguments for both sides but I don't think it's that clear cut. Sad racism still exists but I can see progress for sure so I think in a generation or two it'll be the minority that's racist, and they will be openly ridiculed for it.
Saying stuff online....it doesn't go away. Soon these idiots will have to pay for their actions. When they get sacked from their dream job for a tweet they sent 10-20 years ago things will change. The days of hiding on the Internet to shower people with abuse is something that is becoming more and more difficult to do without repercussions
Unfortunately these social media platforms generate millions of £££ for the football clubs. It’s written into a lot of the players contracts that they have to engage in and be apart of the social media world.
As easy as it is to say “go on strike” against social media it would end up costing the clubs far too much in revenue at an already difficult time.
At the end of the day the clubs see their staff as nothing more than a number

there definitely is not a easy solution to racism. I have a lot of misgivings about the generation after mine but one thing I respect them for is their social responsibility. Rashford is a shinning example of this.

Everyday its being used by copycats. It's keeping skysports busy with all there coverage and slogans. Perhaps we need to ignore the wums and they'll bore off
Are these trolls and racists getting too much coverage?
I’m not saying it should be ignored but sometimes you have to wonder would it work better if it was?
No player needs to be on social media. They can hire someone to post for them (many celebs do this to some extent). If you don't read it, it can't bother you. Ignore trolls. Half of them aren't even "properly racist" as in they don't believe the stuff they write - it just gets the biggest response

there is actually no truth in the idea that not covering something makes it go away. I feel there is a section of society that will rather not talk about any inconvenient truths like racism, sexual abuse etc.
This is probably the same mentality that makes some people offended by others wearing a mask as they would rather get on with their day as if covid does not exist.
