Shame...you were on the verge of European greatness as well
Well if European giants sparta prague and ferancvaros were not around they were
It wasn't the message that was the issue but the way you constantly used it as an excuse to batter Celtic anytime we didn't get a result. The only time you appeared on here was to berate Lennon and the team after a loss.
It was tiresome and a lot of folk rightly got fed up with you. It's not as though most of us couldn't see his shortcomings.. we just chose to support him while he was winning and getting us to play half decent football.
Only difference now is the fact that our form is the worst its ever been under him and he's blaming everyone but himself when he is the main issue. That's why he's list the support of the fans now.

That quite simply is NOT TRUE its a perception fed by the We are all Neil Lennon brigade on this forum .I have posted many positive comments on Celtic when they are merited .

It’s been explained to him over and over what the problem was-a broken clock is right at least twice a day.
This has got to be one of the biggest collapses and capitulations in the history of top level football.
-----------------------------------------------------
What? Not winning a 10th title in a row?
Feck me, I though Rangers dropping 3 tiers and having to start from scratch was a bit of a bigger mess.
Fickle fans.

Taking it well
You sound hard done by ritchie
I think you are 100% right mate
You lost a Premier League calibre manager, and replaced him with a guy who’d been sacked by Hibs
He managed to get you over the line with the guts of Brendans team, but if you ask me, your team has been on a downward spiral ever since he took over, and things have just hastened after some very poor results in the early part of the biggest season in your clubs recent history
Hiring Lennon was an act of complacency
Accepting things getting worse slowly under him is also complacent

Ritchie bang on the money. Your fellow Tims on here were all right behind Lennon even after you had told them.
If they had listened to you the pressure in the fan base could have swelled before the season started and Lennon could have been replaced, the ten could have been saved.
If we ignore the fact Rangers are unbeaten and steamrolling the league and Dermot couldn’t give a flying fook what the plebs want this could all have happened.

During Lennon's first spell the only time you were on here was after a defeat to bash the team. I remember it well as I often called you out on it, as did others.
The good things about this forum, the differing opinions and the banter.
Richiebhoy's opinion was not popular, but he called it correctly, as did quite a few others.
Your board made the right appointment getting Lennon in to steady the ship at the time to the end of the season, when Rodgers walked out mid season. Lennon done the job asked of him, and in my opinion, your board should have said thanks Neil, that's all we need from you. Bye.
When Rodgers left in Feb that season, Lawell etc should have found a similar appointment for the role, in the mould of Brendan. Teams need freshened up season after season, to keep the squad hungry for success and to remove complacency, encourage competition for places etc. Similar to what Gerard has done.
Leaving Lennon in place for two further seasons to transition the team when he has no proven pedigree to carry that out was clearly nieve football management.
I think too much focus on domestic records and assumptions rangers were unable to offer a credible challenge , when clearly they were able to. Gerard showed last season the gap was closed, with the win at Celtic park and cup final we out played Celtic only to lose to that offside goal. Then Gerrard strengthened our squad further this season, completing our transition to a team able to compete in Europa League and domestically win the league.
Gerard should have has sights set on transition rangers to a champions League capable team ( IE group stages), , whearas Lennon I never thought had that in him.
Celtic board serious of blunders.

Typo, series of blunders I meant 😄
Question is......what are they going to do about it?????
We all know Lennon is a dead man walking......his days are numbered......it looks like the decision has been made to let him see out the season and hope the team can hang on for 2nd place.....right now that looks like a serious gamble
The quality or otherwise of his replacement will answer a few questions...

Agree with some of your points but Celtic have appointed two managers of that caliber since Stein left.
Special circumstances with Brendan and Mon. They dont generally come to Scotland now and we had to downgrade after Rodgers. We just downgraded too much
Twisting the truth Ritchie
Plenty were against Lennon, plenty were unhappy. You just come on every now and again saying "I told you" when we have said the same, the difference being we support the team, you only dislike never support.
Saying we are years behind is a ridiculous statement that has been disproven so many times over the years both ways
