Gwen been a caaant at every club he's been.
Emi wanted guarantees he'd be no.1 which we didn't want to give, so we cashed in, knowing we had a keeper at a similar level.
Nelson has been injury prone and not shown anything while given a chance.
Balogun and his reps seem like utter, utter caaaants to deal with.
Tough to know what's going on with Ainsley. Seems to want to play midfield but he's better as a RB. Can imagine that's the reason his Southampton move fell through.
Saliba has been completely mishandled. A total joke, from start to finish.
Saka, next because Willian wasn't completely awful the last time he played.
Which young promising player will fall victim to Artitler next?
-------
28 year old Emi considered a "young promising player" probably explains why he wasn't guaranteed an undisputed #1 spot ahead of the excellent Bernd Leno.

For a GK he is young and he was definitely promising

Emi has 10 years left in the tank tho. 10 years more of haunting Arsenal and casting a shadow over Leno. Never said he was young either btw. Although he is young for a GK 🤷♂️
He's only "casting a shadow" because his fanboys are making a big deal of it.
Leno has improved a lot. They've been the same level this season.
No it’s because he has been the best GK in the league.
Leno has been great. It’s just unfortunate for him that Emi has been better
Mustafi has gone to schalke and Ainsley has agreed to join West Brom
Has Emi been better? He's conceded 1 more goal while having played 2 games less.
I did used to think Emi was clear of Leno, but Bernd has really reduced the gap, credit to him.
Shouldn’t be judged on how many goals he’s conceded. He should be judged on how many were his fault. Leno has been at fault a few times this season. Struggling to think of a mistake Emi has made, that he’s been punished for anyway.
Leno has still been very good. Probably 2nd best GK in the league this season.
Goalkeepers shouldn't be judged on goals conceded? New one that.
Felt Emi, while not at fault, could have done better to stop villa losing to Burnley tbh.
Yes, leno was at fault earlier in the season, which is why my doubts crept in. But he's improved to a point where the difference is really negligible. And still conceded less having played 2 games more. Emi playing behind a better team/defence too.
I'm sad Emi left but it's really exaggerating things saying he's casting a shadow. There are other things to complain about.

Combined villa/arsenal outfield
Cash Konsa ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Tierney
Partey Mcginn
Saka Barkley Grealish
Watkins
You can factor goals conceded in but it’s pretty simplistic to say he’s conceded more goals than Leno so is the inferior GK.
City have conceded by far the least goals this season. Lolris has conceded the same amount of goals as Emi and was level with Leno only yesterday yet nobody has put Ederson or Lolris in the discussion for best GK this season

We'll see at the end of the season.
Never said Emi was the inferior GK, just that there's very little in it.
And I also think Emi has had all this extra attention because he left Arsenal under slightly acrimonious circumstances. From a combination of rival fans taking the piiiiisss, and Emi fanboys twisting the knife into their own club.
