Good call by var for the foul on Morelos although how ref missed it is a worry

Our first claim I would have thought we would get based on how the rule is being enforced this season so strange var didn't give it.

Their penalty is a funny one. There is contact yes it's minimal. Yes the player kicks up his heels and jumps in the air. But there is contact.

I doubt var would overturn it.

Been an advocate of var but that was utter chaos last night. Clearly a terrible ref though so wouldn't want to judge on last night

Also on our second pen I don't think I saw much protest. The guy started walking and taking his armbands off before the card was out

The second is a pen because it's going on target and in imo, the second yellow is the debatable element.

Harsh because it's not deliberate but does stop a goal.

Another night and Kent had a hat trick. A very good save by the keeper then one by the defender.

Some impact he had when coming on. Think a few of us had been saying bench him to give him a fright. Looks like it worked

Luckily not many games to go

Tav is abit more of a worry though - big Balogun did well when he came on IMHO

What's everyone's thoughts on VAR?

Unsure myself.

We perhaps should have got a penalty - 1st handball bu would have been soft.

I thought Antwerp's pen was ridiculous - yes there was 'conatct' but the theatrical dive was comical.

We got a deserved pen we wouldn't otherwise have got - Morelos

Our second pen was unlucky on the Antwerp defender for me, not much he could have done about it and i'm really unsure why he was booked.

What nationality were your refs last night as (apart from being utter dung anyway) they didn't really seem to know how to use VAR.

Was like watching the English trying to use it 😂

Probably why he picked up a few referring errors and deferred most of the decisions to him given most weren't "clear and obvious" according to the rules.

That ref was something else last night 😂
