Celtic have had an atrocious season all in tbh. Still a Scottish Cup to play for I suppose, has anyone ever won it 5 years on the bounce?

Mainstay in a side that won what... 18,19 trophies?
87 caps for Sweden.
He musta done summat right.
pfff even he's scored more goals against Rangers than Alfie has against Celtic.
Lustig was good for a while. But he was well past his best when he left. Listing him as a failure is like saying izaguirre leaving second time was a blow too

Yeah he's exactly the same player this season
Defo didn't regress
Forster didn't want to come back, so that's a moot point.
Gordon wanted guarantees about starting time that we couldn't clearly give him.
Lustig was done about a year before he left us.
Jozo was made of glass and missed more games through injury than he played.
Forrest was here this year - but he was just injured for it.
Hayes plugged a gap at left back - he was relatively unproductive any further forward.
The biggest issue wasn't the players - it was the manager, so irrespective of anything else, that was always the biggest problem.
That's the one thing out of the entire post of shame that you don't agree with... Lustig?

Lustig would be well past it. No way would he have made a difference this year.
Hayes a starter? No chance, he wasn't a starter when we had him. Great squad player but lts not pretend he'd have a made a difference.
The big difference for me is the coaching. Good players don't become scheidt players but good teams can get lost when good coaching gets replaced with "make a run"
For me the blame lies firmly at the feet of Lennon and the board who refused to rectify a mistake in appointing him and not letting him go in Oct/Niov
This current squad with good coaching would have done a hell of a lot better and lost a hell of a lot less points with actual tactics

I thought Celtic invested decent money it really is just you bough duds
Turnbull looks ok the text are gash
Laxalt is pash and won’t be signed your other buys will cost you to get rid
If the board were at fault it was in the managerial appt, and continuing support
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Laxalt was excellent when he first signed. I think he got Lennon'd. Ajeti started by banging the goals in then got Lennon'd and Lennon's decision to play 1 striker in a front with an attacking midfielder.
Turnbull is a tremendous player.
I said it before the players that walked the league the year before do not become bad overnight but tactics do
On a separate note, I see Ntcham has been subbed off at half time in Marseille's last two games, the latest being during their loss against a fourth tier team.
Such a waste of talent.

Celtic no longer have £30m swishing around in their bank account. In case anyone needs reminding we are running at a loss.
As to the season; the majority of fans could see the signs from the season before but we could get away with it because the bears were just too sheite to do anything about it. Even when they looked like they might threaten it was a brief and transitory couple of weeks before they imploded.
We did the usual and took the cheap easy option and this time it was appointing Lennon. If anyone is to blame it’s fairly and squarely at the door of the boardroom.
When anything can’t get much worse as in Rangers case it takes not too much to get it going, instil some belief and improve it. When things can’t go any better than expected as was in our case, the foot is taken off the gas and you’re quickly caught up with. It’s not like we’ve loads of previous is it?
Football’s finances will have been battered over the past couple of seasons and nobody is exempt. Interesting times ahead.

As has been said by many, and me repeatedly, ultimately THE biggest own goal was giving Lenny the gig permanently. Nearly all of us could see this car crash coming, even if none of us expected it to be quite this dramatic. IMO the league was effectively gone the day we conceded a second daft penalty in injury time to draw 3-3 at Pittodrie way back in November ... the Board needed to act swiftly after that, but either couldn't see what everybody else could, or just couldn't be ersed as that would have involved some effort to find a replacement.
BTW, did I read correctly at the weekend that Eddy, Ajer and Christie are ALL going into the last year of their contracts in the summer? How the fook has that been allowed to happen? Yet another, very expensive, dereliction of duty there.
