We have done nothing but progress under Gerrard
When he came in, we hadn’t come close to competing with you in the league, and we were getting papped out of Europe by Luxembourg plumbers.
His first season, we finished the league with 78points and a goal difference of +55, beat Celtic twice in the league and we made it to the Europa League group stages
His second season, when the league was called we were sitting on 67 points and a goal difference of 45+, well in the way to improving our previous tally’s the season prior. We narrowly lost the cup final, beat Celtic at Parkhead for the first time in ages and stayed in Europe until after Xmas.
His third season....I don’t think I really have to say anything....amazing, regardless of $hite your team have been, we would have romped it anyway.
It isn’t all about trophies.....Gerrard and his team alphabet improved us no end...the trophies are now starting to come as a result.
You lot seem to forget that in Brendan Rodgers, you had a manager that’s almost Premier League winning quality....it was him in charge Gerrard first season, and the guts of his team that Lennon inherited the second season. A rookie manager was never going to dominate from the word go against that...that’s without even factoring in the mess he inherited
