She’s made herself unelectable

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I suspect you don't pay much attention to polls
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they’re usually bollox
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think she'll do okay at the elections in May.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Depends what you mean by do well

Will she get a majority? Yes. Undoubtedly.

Will it be the sizeable record of a majority? Nah. Small minority and likely not enough to control the government.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like most other comments that is just speculation, like predicting that Trump would be returned as President.

I think what is clear that the Troy undermining tactic has failed. I hear too many ask why, as Skull says above, the cheating, lying, bullying, law-breaking, corrupt govt that is the UK government are not similarly being held to account.
Now that is reasonable question and their trust factor is down the tubes,.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Likewise remind me of which country’s leader has been subjected to two consecutive public enquiries again?

And there isn’t a Tory master plan here ffs. The reasons for the enquiries were down to yet another in a long list of incredible fwck ups and failures from a government that acts like it has nobody to answer to. Of course opposition parties will try and take advantage. That’s their job

But just remember why she was subjected to all of this. Her own bloody fault.

Abject failures on every measurable there is. And people want her and her ilk to lead them to independence.

Absolutely clueless. They’re not a means to an end. They will make the country suffer for decades.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Tories tried to make this all about Nicola Sturgeon's leadership - they might yet regret that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Utter nonsense.

Labour too I suppose?

And the independent guy from the Greens?

They’re job is to have the existing government removed and take power.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they are MSPs their job is to represent the people who voted them in not to abuse their position.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, let's have an investigation into who leaked the Committee's deliberations and decisions to the media. Or is it only SNP people you want investigated?

——————————-

Pretty sure none of this would have happened if Salmond didnt act like a creepy b@stard, at best.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Interesting.

So you’ve labelled Salmond guilty but not Sturgeon?

Tribalism eh?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Salmond said himself he carried out ‘inappropriate behaviour’. No tribalism there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And?

Did that then manifest itself into attempted rape?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It didnt manifest into attempted rape in the court of law but his behaviour did enough to spark all of this sh!te

If the tories have gained any ground from all this they’ll lose it along with their no confidence vote

You seem very certain of this. Have you forgotten the coaching of witnesses and the drive to put every pressure on the police to convict already?

“His behaviour” for goodness sake.

I’m not sore they’ll continue with that after today’s announcement to be honest.

Bit foolhardy if they do

Hmmm

All the naysayers of Brexit are clinging on to small “victories” right now and not a lot else.

As a country we will be far better off in time. I have no doubt about that.

Although what that has to do with the SNP government is beyond me.

Seems a bit of an “aye bit” argument that to me.

I wasn't in favour of brexit, but it's not really the rod to beat with on covid. It's not like the eu vaccine programme is proving an unrivalled success

Pretty hilarious seeing people on both sides so blinded by their political bias in this thread.

To any even reasonably impartial observer, Nicola Sturgeon hasn't come out of this looking great, just less bad than the catastrophic attempt at political maneuvering from some of her opponents. Not that it'll likely make a great difference come election time anyway given how entrenched most peoples' positions are.

You’re certain Salmond said he indulged in inappropriate behaviour?

Well yes he did.

My point being is it went far further than that and all due to a completely flawed and ignorant case against him which was royally fwcked up by the SG.

Unless you want to add conjecture of course. On you go.

Yep - would still love to be locked in with the EU right now

Have you seen the mess it is in WRT to their member countries' vaccination programs?

Nigh-on holding other countries (outside of the UK) to ransom over the distribution of the vaccine.

Yep - I wish I was still part of that organisation!

Ginger, Ross and the rest of the Scottish Tories found her guilty before she appeared before the committee and before James Hamilton QC's report - 'demanding' her resignation for breaking the Ministerial Code. That is pure premature ejaculation (Ruth Wishart) by a bunch of Tory nobodys up here in Scotland flaying around for anything that might improve their appaling position in the polls. The Tory leader at Holyrood is of course for the offskis to her sinecure in the House of Lords curtesy of Boris, and Ross doesn't sit in Holyrood.
Losing a vote of no-confidence tomorrow will be just another of their hapless failures. Ross won't care, he won't be there.

I wonder what the costs will be when the Covid investigations get started.

and they will definitely be happening at some point.

Yeah great - lets add another few £100m onto the debt due to enquiries.

Lets make countless amounts of legal people millionaires.

It’s not rocket science though

The SNP will still be in power because there is no opposition. Same for tories in Westminster
