FIFA have nothing to do with it, City exposed how bent UEFA were in an international court.

ah yes, because they were deemed to be time barred, it showed up incompetence more than anything, didn't exactly prove your innocence
It was always going to take either a European Super League or another European League having all the money to make English fans wake up to how the game is being ruined. You have only been ok with it for the past 20 years because it's the PL that has benefited to the detriment of other leagues. There will be a tipping point where things go too far and the "product" is no longer enjoyable. It's only now you guys are seeing real negative consequences.

personally, if this I just to replace the CL I dont see why the PL ultimately cares besides some hollow threats from UEFA.
they still keep their big 6, their big 6 do still care about winning the PL, they still get their audiences and keep their league together. The power the big clubs hold in Spain and Italy is even more powerful so those leagues will follow suit and Uefa will just revamp the europa to be a more prestigious tournament.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The PL will care for financial reasons, and will certainly be bothered if the FA threatens the clubs’ registrations.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
but why would the FA given the profit sharing pyramid?
ruining the PL will severely harm the FA

Your owner is one of the biggest reasons this is even an idea being floated.
When you have middle eastern nations sticking their noses into elite football of course the traditional big clubs over the last 5 decades aren't going to be best pleased.
Maybe City n PSG should set up their own state owned Oil clubs league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe clubs owned by the Rothchilds should play in the MLS.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe we should get to sell our own TV rights. See how you get on then with your 5 fans.

Not really, I think UEFA and domestic leagues hold all the cards, they decide to join this ESL they won't exist by 2030 as fans will turn away to a closed league, the wonky way they survive is to play exhibition games all over the globe and well... That's not a club locals who have followed and built these clubs will ever buy into
The players won't be able to compete at international level, say someone like Salah? That's not gonna happen, he will be out the door of Liverpool, same for many other players and I expect them to start speaking up over the coming days
FFP was an attempt to stop football being took over by oil rich nations. It's failed. This is the next step.
No chance on earth would this be even up for discussion without what happened at PSG n City in my opinion.
Personally I don't want us to come away from the PL. However I can understand why United, Arsenal and Liverpool aren't happy. Unless all three are bought out by people like the Sheikh we are always going to be at a disadvantage.
Don't blame the big clubs for this. Blame the plastic oil clubs. This is their doing.

Boot those 6 out of the PL for any extended period, and the game in this country changes completely.
Many of those who paid huge sums for TV rights would be wanting compensation, as contracts will probably be voided.
So the teams that remain, won't have anything like the money they have now, and in many cases would struggle to pay their players wages.
If those 6 were permanently expelled, it would be financially catastrophic for those left in the PL.
The annoucement came just days after Liverpool crashed out of the Champions League.
