Chelsea's recruitment of young talent is under scrutiny after it emerged Burkina Faso international Bertrand Traore played for their under-18s side when aged 16, in an apparent breach of FIFA regulations.
If the Blues are found guilty of wrongdoing they could be placed under a transfer embargo. They have subsequenetly defended their position.
The club said in a statement: "Bertrand Traore was registered by Chelsea FC inJanuary 2014 in compliance with FA and Premier League Rules.

Was sure he didn't play as well from what lstd said, would be brilliant if they did get banned

Ive been saying for years he'd played in our youth teams thats why i signed him, he's been playing for them since he was 14.

You can play in pre season friendlies and non competitive games which he did, he never played in under 18s league or cups and same for the U21s so there should be no issue. Just someone at FIFA doing their job incredibly poorly if they've only just realised this now, i could have told them 4-5 years ago

I tried as hard as I could. Which is why I'd call it underperforming to have dropped so many points in the last 3 months

Also Lukaku is definitely on form even if Falcao isn't.

i think the fact he was always a trialist too, not actually signed until he was 18 and the fact that he played for our first team in pre season aged 17 and got some pretty big media coverage with a wonder goal which is surely no different to him playing for youth sides, means that its likely the media stirring something or FIFA just want to be sure he didn't play competitively.

He was also listed as an Auxerre player i believe before he joined us, which would be a breach of rules as you can't sign youngsters officially until they are 18(from outside europe), so unless they can prove he grew up in France and not Burkina Faso with cases like Drogba and co then its them that are more likely being investigated than us and we are just being checked to make sure everything was good on our end.

Apparently Napoli want to sign Chalobah permanently, seems like he's impressing them, might be of benefit to him, settled club and will play more if he's not just a season loan. Going to be a quality player either way would be a very good signing for them imo

After Tonelli as well app, but not sure what to read into that

Klopp is really not having any joy, but looking at the team you can see why

would help if they signed the right striker rather than someone that doesnt fit into their philosophy, not even for Rodgers! Been saying for years that Benteke can't play in teams that have more of the ball and press higher up, he's a counter attacking player from deeper when he can isolate defenders one v one. Not sure how Liverpools scouts have missed it, plain to see from day one at Villa.
