I can probably only name two English players to come out of any recent major tournament with any credit though, it's not just Rooney and he's clearly the best English player, only one who is close to world class, just doesn't do it for country, and only Cole really did.

CM is the least of our worries imo, defence looks very shaky in friendlies, no decent RB and both LB been taken for a ride by distinctly average players in the 3 games, whilst Cahill is making basic mistakes without Terry alongside him and Jags doesn't look match fit. Always a mistake in Hart too.

And then upfront Hodgeson will go for Welbeck on the left who is a donkey, one of the poorest touches in football, Rooney clearly isn't fit, neither RW looking all that useful and Sturridge looking extremely wasteful.

Literally only Barkley that has impressed me tbh, wouldn't be surprised if we went out with only one point to show

We've struggled/shown weaknesses in all the friendlies and imo those three teams are weaker than what we will face in the groups.
