Gerrard isn't close to Rooney anymore imo, fair play to him, done a fantastic job adapting to a new position, better than most players would, but he's not what he used to be, think it'll be his last tournament with england and a few more years with Liverpool whereas Rooney still has a lot to offer club and country imo
