So we don't get to give them the traditional semifinal beating this season. That seems a bit unfair really.

I think it is such a fun competition. Given the ever increasing fixture congestion, I don't think it will survive in the long term. But it gives clubs the opportunity to experiment and bood new players. Teams play with a lot of freedom - and, lets face it - it's not a biggie if you lose. The annual elimination of our much admired neighbours is just the icing on the cake.

I noticed that the "Impossible Dream' banner they have at OT contains portrayals of both the League Cup and the Charity/Community Shield.
Surely that should be replaced with something more in keeping with United's present ambitions.
