Met Anna Freil and Rhys Ifans in Portmeirion when they were a couple. Met Rhys Ifans a few times actually. Nice fella but a bit bonkers.
Met Nark Hughes opening some building in a local town to me. It was when we were linked with Paul Ince, and I asked him what the latest was. He just completely ignored me.

Met Anneka Rice in France when on holiday with high school. Didn’t talk to her though.

Bumped into Liam Gallagher in Chester. He was just standing on a street corner with some mates. Didn’t approach him though, as I think he’s a bit of a plonker.

Saw Jay Kay of Jamiroquai fame in a pub in Aylesbury. Didn’t bother disturbing him either.

The nicest celeb I met was David Jason. It was in Theatr Gwynedd. He was there watching a show that starred his then partner Myfanwy Talog (sadly passes away now). Has a great chat with him at the interval.

Hi Babyen. I'm glad you praised David Jason. One of the finest comedic actors ever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright Diafol. Genuinely nice guy was David Jason.

I’ve also had a few chats with Mark Webster over a few pints watching United in Denbigh. Not sure if he’s classed as a celeb these days though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Former Darts World Champion Mark Webster? Yes, we'll claim him!

Met Phil The Power Taylor in a gym changing room. He was in his nip and showing me his guns. Seemed a top bloke
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I beat Phil the Power in a 3 darter.

Was three darts dropped from the top of a step ladder but I think that still made me the lineal champion of the world.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Still got the signed dart board I won in a box in my garage

Seen and met loads of footy players. Nothing really to tell. They just signed autographs, shook hands etc. A lad I worked with years ago was adamant he lost his V to Natasha from Atomic Kitten haha

Knew Aamir Khan dad, briefly. Robbie Williams parents and Anthea turners family. Before the latter two became famous.

Know Quite a few cricketers or their families. Mushy Ahmed's brother is married to a local lass. See him regularly

It is all choreographed but we didn't know that in the early days.

……

We have known it since it ever began.

Was in Birmingham queueing to get into a club in 2005, Beattie had just signed for Everton, turning down Villa.

Beattie turned up and queue jumped, my mate called him a w*nker. He turned round looking for a fight before his mates pulled him away.

Later on he actually did have a fight in the street and got proper banjoed by some Villa fans annoyed he'd rejected them. Was all over the news at the time.

Stood in the Square pub in Manchester next to Corrie's Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) in 2001. I thought she was only 17 so told the barman she was underage! I was wrong though as she turned 18 a few months prior!

Met the Southampton team the week before they beat us in the Cup Final. They were at Frinton Lodge for the week and were training on the pitch next to our school pitch. We had a short kick about with them.

Also met Joe Brown and his family at the Pelican Bar in Paphos, Cyprus. Saw his daughter Sam around a decade later doing backing vocals on Pink Floyd’s Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour in Dortmund.
