I know someone who spent a few hundred quid on a genuine Saville tracksuit that he proudly wore a few times. Got rid of it pretty fast as soon as the allegations came out (even though most had heard them all well before).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
An old boss bought Saville’s push bike at auction with proceeds going to charity
I stood behind Geoffrey Hughes (Onslow - Keeping Up Appearances, Twiggy - The Royal Family, Vernon Scripps - Heartbeat etc) in a petrol station queue once.
Played Dominick Diamond in a street fighter tournament once in a virgin megastore back in the day.
That’s about my limit in terms of “famous” people I’ve met

They are magnificent pictures
Met Roy Keane at Faro airport when he was Sunderland boss and have a photo with him.
Saw Denis Irwin out having a pint one evening but didn’t approach him.
I’ve seen Brian O’Driscoll around the place a few times as he lives near by.
Met various darts players at exhibitions but I’m not sure I closed them as celebs.
At my age, I think I can now safely fess up.
Some of us were talking a while back about favourite concerts - a thread which wandered off for a while about the first Central Park concert that Simon & Garfunkel put on. I was childishly bragging that I was in the official video for a few seconds, being right at front left where they built the fake NYC skyline water towers.
What has never been revealed is that a grateful Simon came down, out of the spotlight, and shared a doobie with us whilst Garfunkel was up there singing “Bridge.”
Now I wish that THAT was part of the official video.
I've delivered to quite a lot of famous people
favourite was Sir Dicky Attenborough stood chatting to him for about 30 mins about football.he lived on Richmond Green and had a bottle green Rolls Royce with a metal Chelsea badge on the grill.
2 doors down lived Ronnie Wood who was a top man
Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall lived on Richmond Hill, she would answer the door with a cigarette in her mouth he would always send a minion to get his stuff.
biggest without a doubt was Hugh Grant, I delivered a phone to him and he just said "give it to me" I clearly told him he had to print and sign his name i gave him a pen he took it and i gave him the phone when i looked he hadn't printed his name. I told him he had to print his name he told me to pi$$ off and he'd get me sacked.
I snatched it back and told him print your name or you aren't getting the phone,he printed it and I said thank you and told him to have a devine day with a cheeky wink.
it was a couple of weeks after Hugh had been caught getting a nosh off a hooker called Devine Brown on Sunset Boulevard and had been embarresed by the tabloids
Was out with my wife in London about ten years ago, was sat next to the magician Teller from Penn and Teller and his manager. Ended up getting very drunk with them, had an absolutely brilliant time, he gave us his card at the end of the night and we’ve stayed in touch with each other ever since.

Football related...
Frank Worthington bought each one of our table of 10 a pint each at a black tie event that he was guest speaker as he said that our table laughed the loudest at his jokes.
I was also a Guest of Honour (yes, me) at a certain Football Club's annual dinner and awards night and sat next to the main speaker, Frank McLintock on the top table. He told me some outrageous stories over dinner about playing for Arsenal and Scotland.
Not football related, but I got to play Stooges songs with Jello Biafra of the DK's, and with Cheetah Chrome of the Dead Boys. This was decades ago when I was a musician. Both were crazy, weird people, but very nice. I did a recording session with John Goodsall of Brand X. We were acquaintances back in the 1980's when we lived in L.A.
I met a few fairly famous musicians, but it was only because I was in the opening act - which is not always a friendly thing. One of the funniest musicians I met back then was Steve Jones (Sx Pistols) who bought me a beer after watching my set at an underground club in New York back in 1983. He's genuinely funny and a die-hard Chelsea supporter. Great guy, and I'd love to see him again.
I had a couple of beers with Ashley Waters and Harvey from So Solid... Quality fellas

I knew you had morals.
I met Pogba at OT a few years back.
In a box during half time. He was in the one next door to ours, chilling with his boyz. Think it was 0-0 with WBA on April Fool’s day.
It was so awkward!
The waiter dude said “you can go in but only 3 at a time”. So I dashed in first like a kid at Christmas, then the five other guys from my box piled in too
My mate asked “what did you think of the first half?” to which Paul replied “what are you, a reporter?”
Then he said he’d sign our programs, “who’s got a pen?” he asked. We looked round at each other - none of us had one. So Paul’s mate pulled the shyttest blue biro you’ve ever seen out of his jacket pocket.
Paul signed mine, then started on the next one, at which point the biro ran out of ink
Finally before we left the room, my other mate asked if we could have a photo. Pogba didn’t mind, he stood up (next to me) and someone quickly snapped a few of us on their phone - the bloke bending down in front of me raised his head just as the photo was taken and blocked my face completely!
So all in all a very strange experience, and a rubbish game to boot
Had a few through work, Cara Delevingne being the most by far.
