I think the money riding on winning the league this season might help speed things up

i really don't.
this is a board who replaced rodgers with lennon, who took 5 months to appoint a manager going into this important season in which champions league qualification was important.
we had to listen to ange bemoan the lack of urgency in our transfer activity multiple times in summer, i do not expect this to be any better in january.

Same for me in April this year - one stent and good to go - knocks the confidence more than anything but just takes time - wouldn’t go to the toilet without my spray at first now I’m always forgetting the fecker whenever I go out.

I was lucky, I got some pain on Sunday, read the NHS website to remind myself of the symptoms amd my wife took me to A&E. Later, after a treadmill test, I was diagnosed with silent ischemia - where there is no warning pain - an asymptomatic heart attack FFS. Now that would shake anybody's confidence, walking along and BANG, down and deid.
But stent fitted now, and pocket bulging. So, fingers crossed.
