yes it is feasible and yes it should be done, as many said football without the fans is a bit urgh and Scottish football can be fairly urgh at the best of times.

will it be probably not

Anyone who believes that there will be full stadiums by the 17th January is deluding themselves

let's be honest outside of Ibrox there are rarely any full stadiums in Scotland anyway

I'd prefer to have football at least on TV during the festive period. Let's be honest it won't be lifted in 3 weeks so feels pointless to change it.

Unless it's with the intention of extending further

Maybe we should play games while we can. Who knows how things will go?

I wasn't in the least bit surprised to see which club initiated things.

My honest view on things - we have become a nation of absolute fannies.

A bit of a cold, sniffles and armageddon is coming. Ridiculous.

Just play the game - fed up with this utter b0ll0x.

Is this it for the rest of our lives - a wee cold and we shut down life (essentially) - kill the economy, I mean absolutely kill the economy.

And for what - some unhealthy-living, non-vaxxer pegging oot?

Fvck right off.

Yes it should be brought forward and it should be after tonight's games.
There is very real hunger from the clubs for it infact I think I read it was 10-2 in favour.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That all may well be the case, but there could be more to it than just what the clubs want...Sky for example

That's lovely

Is the SPFL 11-1 voting structure in play for this?
Just thinking, if it is, and it's 10-2, does that mean it disnae happen?

There is nothing in the rule book stating that games have to be played on certain dates, in fact Sky switch a lot of our kick-off dates/times.

Anything that can have a chance of allowing more fans into grounds even if it's remote should be given a chance, the fans have missed enough football, every chance should be afforded to allow more in even if its a small hope.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's on their terms though surely

I read somewhere that Sky could impose financial penalties on the SPFL, but the amounts the clubs would lose would far outweigh these penalties, so the SPFL could just go ahead with it anyway and take the hit

I think we should play games whilst we can.

Of course you would rather play with decent crowds but I would rather have football with 500 fans than no football over the festive period.

If there is no significant risk to the players, staff and the 500 folk who get to attend the games then they should go ahead as scheduled.

The last thing we want is a significant fixture pile up or the league having to be awarded again when it hasnt been played out.

I keep seeing guys on the telly saying 'its only 3 weeks'

Eh? Ya think?

'The Omicron wave is forecast to peak in late January or early February in Scotland, with cases set to double or triple in the coming days, the national clinical director has said.'

So do people really think we will have significant numbers of fans back in by the middle of Jan? With Omicron still to peak in scotland?

Dont be ridiculous. If we stop the game now we will be lucky to get it restarted by March.

What happens if the 3 weeks does get extended? Would clubs potentially rather see the league cut short than not play games in front of fans?

Does the 500 include the teams, staff, police etc?

I do think it will get stopped now which is a real shame.

Basically thats the season down the pan if that happens. It will be back to fall outs, dodgy votes and dossiers with the usual suspects coming out the winners in it all.

Nah Hamish its the same amount of time to fit games in just bringing the 2 week break forward to cross fingers and hope.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That is if you restart the league just when Omicron is about to peak.

Which makes no sense whatsoever.
