I think the last 8 years has scarred us all really
i dont remember the club ever being in such a mess and i dont mean the style of results.
players wanting out
Mason Greenwood
players showing a lack of interest
what appears to be a lack of harmony in the club
players looking like they are putting in a lack of effort
pretty shambolic time at the minute
Does feel like we are in limbo. Having a run of games against teams that are deemed lesser doesn't help to get excitement levels up either... I imagine once the CL starts and we are playing the likes of City, Pool etc.. People will start talking football more again.
Ralf was supposed to bring back the thunder.
Anytime he appears to be making headway something bad happens.
The positives are that you are clearing out some perceived problem players, past it players, lacking quality players this summer.
As painful as it may be short term, the team does need a complete overhaul so losing 6/7 players in the summer will actually help Ralf or whoever gets the job build their own team rather than this mismatch of problem players.
We were in that place before you relieved us of Nuno
Once you get a proper manager in things will get better quickly. The problem is though even a Poch or Ten Hag aren't in the same league of Pep, Klopp, Tuchel and Conte. But either would at least give you an identity back and start building something.
I’d say it’s partly because there isn’t much more to be said that hasn’t been already re our current predicament.
Another reason, people are too confrontational on here. Probably makes some people nervous to post.
I am Looking forward to the game I always do but the team let us down so many times it’s hard to know what to comment about I mean should we panic because Fred has Covid etc.
The top four trophy and we’re even in a real battle for that just hoping Ralf can continue some slow progress to get the team working harder for each other with more intelligent passing in transitions, it’s not apathy just at the moment all we can expect or maybe we can score from a corner for the first time in a year.
So this cultural reboot that was mentioned many times over the past 3 years and bringing back the Utd dna was complete nonsense to hide an even bigger problem, the incompetency of the board.
Looks like Utd need a complete fresh install to remove all the viruses and rubbish that has gathered over the years. Till then, we are not challenging for trophies, let alone winning them.
Personally I've never felt more detached from the club.
I've always supported us, through good and bad times on the pitch and my support is the same either way.
My problem today is that the club feels as far away from the supporters as it ever has to me in my years of supporting.
Constant leaks to the press about player unrest, true or not, somebody or bodies have been leaking things for quite a while now. Then there's the social media fc aspect of the club, where it seems to be more focused on building their own brands.
Whack players seemingly being happy to run down their contacts and the whole Mason situation into the mix. It just seems as though the club is an afterthought for a lot of these players.
We haven't even touched on the way the club is run yet
As for Ralf, he's one of the things I do currently like about the club and I hoped he isn't silenced by his new media advisor. He's been the most honest person when it comes to connecting with the fans and I hope that continues.

I'm actually hoping we're close to rock bottom now and the only way is up. Perhaps we need the pain which was going to come with Ralf rocking the boat a bit to get the gain in the long run.
If all Ralf does in his six months is weed out the bluffers then he will have done a decent job IMO.
Disillusioned more than apathy for me
Prides post sums up where I am too.
I'd be happy to see the back of most of squad, and we're likely to move on quite a few, plus the out of contracts.... but I've no faith the club will rebuild or replace to the extent we need
Was pretty confident we were heading in the right direction at the start of the season too haha... We actually don't have a direction at all

Haha yup pretty much spot on.
Also agree with Diafol about Ralf and the bluffers in the squad.
Its the internet. There were a lot of posters who came on here everyday to troll the PE teacher and certain players and the posters who could see the bigger picture. As predicted the new temporary manager has come in and things aint much different than before and recent signings have not turned out to be the answers they wished for. So they have now lost interest, moved on or even been banned at the height of their meltdowns.
Slash the squad
Appoint the right manager
Sign quality in CM and CF
Seems simple but we havent managed to do this at the same time, simce SAF went.

In fairness Ralf has stopped the rot that set in during the dark days of the Ole era.
Where are the glory hunters when you need them ?
"As predicted the new temporary manager has come in and things aint much different than before"
I mean in Rangnick's 11 games he's won 6, drawn 3 and lost 2 compared to Ole's last 11 where he won 3, drew 2 and lost 6. On top of that Rangnick is clearly trying out different systems to find what best suits our squad and getting the players to improve their fitness to be a more pressing side.
The football hasn't been the most entertaining and there are clearly some huge issues that need fixing but I wouldn't say things are the same with the new manager.
Also what thas the 'bigger picture' with Ole in charge?

yeah we havent lost as many games, but weve also been outplayed in a few against teams we really should be dominating.
stop with the Ralf is better than ole agenda because for the players we have at our disposal, he is hardly pulling up trees or are you forgetting about the losses at home to wolves and boro, or being outplayed for large parts against fecking norwich
The best thing Ralf could do is to tell the board we need to move on Maguire and Ronaldo this Summer.
Both cause us more problems than they create.

Ralf is better than Ole though. He took over a mess of a side in freefall. Not everything Ralf has done has been great but he has at least calmed the chaos. The Wolves game was poor, no doubt but the Boro game was far from his fault. We missed plenty of chances and their goal shouldn’t have been allowed.
I hope we do replace Ralf at the end of the season but he took over a club that had lost its way and he’s taken us back into the top 4 and stemmed the flow of goals conceded.
I am a legacy glory hunter. My supporting skills are not compatible with today's lack of success. I may move to a new team instead of adapting. If offered the chance of more success as a fan, the majority of us would take it. We as fans need to continue to better ourselves and strive for success, and if that means switching teams, then so be it. This is the modern game and we as fans need to adapt accordingly in order to succeed.
Not many gave ole credit for a 3rd then 2nd finish nor the outragous away undefeated run at the time. In hindsight these achievements were massive with these players. Yes it went south and after that run of Liverpool city and finally watford and he had to go. Ralf has had an easy run of games since and it is still dishwater on the whole. As we were told repeatedly under Ole any half decent manager woul have got a tune out of our squd...as least as well as Ralf has with these players
