Realistic Transfer Targets

The biggest issues is a Striker. There just isn't anyone available for a reasonable price. Even the kid at Benefica will cost us a third of the budget.

David or Isak would be available for relatively reasonable prices.

I know he’s been injury prone but I think we should get dembele on a free. Has looked brilliant under Xavi.

I think Dembele will stay at Barca. He's been in great form.

Christensen’s going Barca mate. He’s another Lindelof anyway. A wimp

posted on 28/4/22

Regardless of what's been previously spent we won't even replace what's going out the the door on frees for 100 million in todays climate.

If the glazers aren't prepared to back ten hag then what's the point?

Akanji is awful he got ripped to shreds by Ryan Kent away in Dortmund.

Had to be hooked he just could not deal with someone running at him.

The hardest thing will be getting rid of the deadwood who still have big contracts. People compare what we need to do to what Klopp did when he joined Liverpool but he didn't have a squad full of sh-t on ridiculous wages that no other club would ever be able to pay the same.

If only Ed was still here to offer them longer contracts on even higher wages to solve the problem 😓

I wonder if Ten Hag might bring Haller with him. Flopped in the PL before but Ten Hag seems to have found a way to bring the best out of him and might want that kind of striker to be in his United squad.

Beekers! will be like a new signing... He's gonna run the show

posted on 28/4/22

He’s moving to a bigger club with bigger finances. I think and hope he’ll look to bring in better than what he can have at Ajax. It’s why I’m not convinced VdB will definitely be given a chance just because they worked together before. While he mught have the right attitude and understand EtH’s approach I just don’t think he’s good enough.

It's like you did not even read my in depth appraisal, one post above, of how Beekers will fair under ETH at UTD.

I’d be cautious about players like that. I think it’s only Antony and Timber that he’s interested in bringing with him anyway.

Andy Carroll to replace Cavani

posted on 28/4/22

Clearly part of THs brief is to get a tune out of some of the players we already have and those returning on loan who are on lucrative contracts, yet considered 'deadwood' by many 'fans'.

Why does Bailly need replacing ?

Because A he iisnt good enough a B he averages roughly 15 games a season because he is always injured.

of course he needs replacing.

He’s not a miracle worker. He may want to see what he has but he will still need to be quite ruthless with this squad if he wants them to play the way he requires to the level we need because it’s been built without any real long term thinking.

Good job we extended Bailly’s contract last year when he was clearly showing us his worth.

Jones is a perma crock and Varne seems to be following suit... The new CB would have question marks, so you would be going into a season with Maguire being the only CB that can play more than 40 games.
