The spend the money on "hype", like Pep. How can this guy cost £72m?
In that case, Kulu should be double that!
Then you have Ben White, costing £50m and yet he is clueless in set pieces and corners.
That's £120m there.
Their scouting system seems to be costing them financially (loss of 4th place earnings) because of poor transfers.
I’m not sure Arsenal are being left behind, for a start absolutely nobody other than the new owners know how much money will go into Chelsea - I would be staggered if it’s Roman levels, that’s essentially winning the lottery twice.
Spurs look good next year, but if things go sour next year then we can drop quickly as we know.
The reality is though the top 6 look like they are going to accelerate away from the pack this summer.
Imagine being a West Ham/Wolves fan, pushing to challenge the top 6 this season and suddenly they all start dropping £200m in the summer window. Then you have Newcastle who will turn it into a top 7 soon enough by dropping significant sums. It must be demoralising, and I wonder if at some point serious changes to the way clubs are financed will be reviewed and implemented

lets look at this objectively.... arsenal have completely facked this up, and are now in big trouble to keep pace. you spent the most in the world last summer, on dross, and have given a long contract to a PE teacher. you have the most toxic, drama queen fanbase imagineable which means that everything is either 10 out of 10, or 0 out of 10... and you are now competing for players with west ham lesta and newcastle, while spurs compete for players that you cannot get.
cannot wait for the all or nothing doc.
