Mad to think how poor he was early on and West Ham nearly went down after the dodgy deal to bring him over, before he ultimately saved them.
Mascherano couldn't even get a game over Hayden Mullens, Nigel Reo-Coker and Lee Bowyer.
Yet both managed to get moves to United and Liverpool!
The 08 season was the best football I have seen a Utd team play. Ronaldo Rooney and Tevez was out of this world.
Rooney and Tevez were absolute pests for the opposition. The amount of work they get through was amazing.
I saw some thread the other day about transfers that happened you still don’t believe really happened and this would probably be too. Tevez and Masch to West Ham really was absolutely mental at the time.
As for Tevez, great player.

I bet Bolton were mentioned a few times?
Mad that he did well for us considering he’s South American.
Fergie not offering him a contract was significant for both Manchester clubs.

Their manager refused to play masch and his logic was it wouldbe sent the wrong signal to the dressing room, and the players that earned them promotion. Yeah....class decision 😂 I remember at the time hearing it and assuming both weren't that good. Then we saw them play.

This is the reason why you don't see English manager at the top six clubs. They favour British players who aren't good enough.

Mad that you got that in before Streightyfour
His second season for us wasn’t very good and then he tried to turn the fans against SAF. And this began his ish behavior that dogged him for the rest of his career.
I agree with the comment above on Berbatov. We should not have signed him.

Absolute c*nt for carrying around an 'RIP Fergie' sign when City won the league.

Berbatov has become one of the most overrated players in our history since leaving.
Has he? While he was undoubtably gifted with sublime technique he wasn’t really needed and never helped improve us. Was pretty important for our 2011 PL title but other than that didn’t do enough. A joy to watch at times though.

Yes, he’s viewed as some sort of legend by some. Even in 10/11 he’s impact was overstated. He had a handful of good games but ended the season on the bench, didn’t even make the CL final squad and was dropped for Welbeck the following season.
