Next season is going to be very exciting, I am also hearing rumours about Bellingham, I do not know how much truth is in it, and Dortmund do not let two stars go in one season, but you never know.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Bellingham I would be super-excited about. Can't see it though, not after Dortmund have lost one star and we're paying out a record fee.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
theyre a selling club first and foremost if the offers right theyll sell. Theyll probably have numerous targets lined up already should it happen too. Haven't they already signed Adeyemi?

Luckily for them theres no cheap release clause for Bellingham.

Excellent signing for Liverpool. I reckon he will be the top scorer in the league. Let's just hope Salah doesn't stop passing to him and go for it himself

Signing Nunez does not in any way match signing Haaland.

Haaland is the 2nd or 3rd most sought after player in the sport.

I’d literally never even heard of Nunez until a few days ago

City going the blue-chip route while Liverpool go the bargain-basement route.

Liverpool always buy more unfamiliar names and turn them into superstars.

City use another nation's wealth to buy the most expensive players for game-breaking sums.

Spot the problem.

Has anyone said Nunez is a match for the signing of Haaland?

He's not. Not right now anyway, perhaps he never will be - time will tell. But Liverpool have done quite well out of their bargain basement buys.

In the summer when Neymar smashed the transfer record and Utd paid crazy money for Lukaku, we brought Salah.

When Utd were buying Pogba for a record amount, we brought Mane for less than Arsenal paid for Xhaka!

Suarez was £22m. Coutinho picked up from Inter reserves for £7m.

I remember when Arsenal used to do the same. Got Vieira from Milan for a pittance. Henry, Bergkamp - bargains. Ljungberg nobody had heard of. It's the way good football clubs are run.

I wonder what phony Middle Eastern company is going to sponsor City just to ensure City are operating within FFP protocol.

bergkamp almost broke arsenal. i can rememebr them calling it a huge gamble aty the time. Great deal in the end.

Vieria and anelka and petit and henry were all great deals.

Top back 5 added to with really good midifeld and forwards, of course titles were then following.

By contrast now arsenal are a bit of a shambles at the back and have a lot of young talent with little leadership. a big big job to be done

Lukaku is better than Nunez. Hell, Broja will end up a better player than Nunez.

How?

Haaland and Nunez aren’t the same calibre of name in football.

Oh, I'm sorry, who are MUFC chasing ?

That's right, the Dutch Charlie Adam.

But in all fairness, you were trying to get Darwin Nunez as well. How did that go ?

LOL

"names" mean nothing. performance does.

Haaland is a very good young talents who's been angling for mega move for 3 years.

his stats

2019/20
Salzburg Played 14 scored 16 in league
Dortmund played 15 scored 13 in league

2020/21 played 28 scored 27
2021/22 played 24 scored 22.

it all looks very good for city there on a 22 year old whos played in a lesser league but has been on fire (alebit with injuries)

Nunez by contrast
2019/20 Alemira played 30 scored 16
2020/21 Benfica played 29 scored 6
2021/22 Benfica played 28 scored 26

add in CL/europa goals and both players far well again.

Haaland is a goal a game performer for dortmund. thats elite talent in anyone's books and the reason why the queue was long and the wages were 400k a week.

nunez is a developing player who's moved over to portugese second division and has improved each year. thats why he's not dining at the big wages tbale and LFC have moved to get him before he does.

Its pretty clear that theres a level of past performance that matters with haaland but there no guarantee he's going to do the same in england as he did in Germany. the level is a bit better but he OUGHT to get lots of goals as city are dominant and will make chances

If nunez can finish as well even as jota he will also score shedloads as LFC make a shedload of chances and miss most of them.

nobody cares about name. Its about performance! the only difference is haaland has two good seasons behind him not 1.

What has that got to do with anything? I’m not the one claiming United are signing names on the level of Haaland.
