Really strange take on things but lets play along for fun.
Salah will be 31 next summer, what sort of fee would we expect for a 31 year old? Surely if thats the plan the club would have just punted him this summer for 50-60m. It certianly wont be any higher than that next summer. If the whole plan is give salah a new deal so he leaves for money in a years time then its a truly horrible bit of business.
Salahs quite clearly very happy here, he has the chance now to cement his legacy as an all time great. Hes not going to leave a club at 31 to play 2-3 years at best somewhere else.
Suarez left when he was 28ish, peak years ahead of him. There almost no comparison.

Wouldn't say it's the 'owners stumped up' just normal contract negotiations, Salah's agent wants one amount, Edwards/Ward value him at a different amount, then the meet in the middle somewhere, probably with bonuses bridging the gap. The owners would have nothing to do with the negotiations.
I wonder if Liverpool will regret this if he starts to decline ? I suspect he’s got a good couple of years of top performance left in him.
