Dundee aren't in the Premiership - Before Ivan gets you.

Was happy with us in the second half, first half was very poor though. Souttar with one of the worst debuts i can remember.

i never said they were .. Dundee will finish 5th in the championship ..........

Said it before the weeked....... Tillman will be a licence to print money, think we have an agreement of 5m for him and he looks a very technical player who can take the bumps.

Souttar looked well of it ... he doesnt look confortable on the left side of a 2. He should be Goldsons replacement not partner it looks like. Sands again I said his position will be along the back line and he was noticeably much improved on Souttar.

partnership at the back should be Goldson/Souttar paired with Davies/Sands.

Tilman looks decent but the reaction from our fans on the whole has been slightly OTT.

Early days, looks like he could be a good player but he missed a sitter and plenty guys look great for 45mins, if he continues to offer something new then he could well end up a snip at 5m.

Na, he can play. Its not what he was able to do in the game he had some nice touches and should have scored but you can see the way he looks to receive the ball, he is as strong as he is technical. But bookmark this, he is a top talent he will be starting in the no 10 role soon i reckon. Tuesday he should start IMO Lawrence on the right.

Hope your right i will just hold off blowing my beans for now.

I think we will play safer tomorrow so no room for a 10 imo, can he play deeper?

I seen a tweet someone saying Lawrence looks like a policeman, very accurate i thought

Yeah you could be right thought we were at home this leg. more likely we play a flat three in the centre on tuesday and Jack prob comes in and plays with Kamra and Lund

Straight forward win for Rangers. Celtic looked poor first half after conceding an early goal, but got the win in the end. Hearts laboured but got a later winner against a poor side. Hibs looked convincing despite conceding a late consolation. Good to have Ayr back in the Premiership where they belong.

You seem to have mixed up Rangers and Celtic. Deliberately?

Off topic but what's this prince William pegging rumour

Good 3 points on Saturday, all you want when you go there is 3 points but thought we controlled the game and stayed patient. Quality saw through in the end.

Another game threatened to be overshadowed by poor decisions from the officials though. Ref clearly bottled the second yellow and it's too tight to blame the linesman for the offside goal and that's where you hope VAR helps.

Criticism of Souttar and praise of Tillman both well over the top since the game but that's life at Rangers and Celtic at times. Thought Colak struggled and whilst he might look like a good option through the season it's clear if Morelos goes we will need a better option on a more consistent basis.

meh ref really only got 1 major decision wrong IMO.

should he have been sent off yeah, it wasnt the worst decision ever and I cant really remember too much else being wrong.

he did a decent job

You can't get those major decisions wrong though, could have completely changed the game. If he missed it I would understand but he just decided it wasn't a second yellow. Poor officiating.

Which is what I think about the offside. Linesman basically guessed.

cant get them all correct... there is no rule that says its a 100% yellow card its down to the refs judgement.

he got one decision wrong , doesnt mean he had a poor game. Tillman missed a sitter, I dont think he had a poor game despite his major miss. he got a call wrong, move on the scrutiny refs are under now is just to far IMO.

I didn't say he had a poor game. I said he made a poor decision. I also said I can forgive the linesman as with the naked eye it's a tough one to call, these things happen. But the ref has no excuse, he saw and gave the foul and would have booked the player in line with the other fouls he deemed a booking if it wasn't for the fact he knew he would have to send him off.

I don't think there's anything controversial in saying it was a poor decision. Livi subbed the player moments later and their Manager admitted they got away with one. It's potentially a pretty significant turning point in the game and officials need to be better than that in their decision making.

Let's not pretend it doesn't happen though! Particularly if either of the potential card calls is marginal. The root cause is the huge gulf between crime and punishment for a red card when a 10m sin bin would maybe be more appropriate. TBH Livi being down to 10 doesn't change much except make it even more scheite to watch.

We will never know Silver and fortunately in this case the result takes a bit of heat off the officials.

I was always against VAR but unfortunately the standard of refereeing has slipped in recent years to the point where we really need it. I don't think the constant social media scrutiny helps and refs now need the help in being able to make clear decisions without all sorts of accusations following.

he didnt think it was a booking.... most disagree (including me) but its just that. he gave the free kick so followed the rules, there is no rule that says he HAS to be booked its the refs decision. he thinks it was not a yellow , we do. there is bias there tbf but I do think it was a 2nd yellow. but there is at least an argument to be had over it. so he got the only part that actually has a rule for it correct the other bit is purely his opinion over ours.

it wasnt terrible referring IMO. I just didnt agree with not booking him.

the main part was calling a free kick which he did.

And in fairness to Don Robertson I think he is one of the better officials we have but I can understand why it's easier not to send someone off 30 minutes in to the season opener when Livi are 1-0 up. It's probably easier for him to get it wrong and maintain 11 v 11 than be wrong and play 10 vs 11.

posted on 1/8/22

I dont think the standards are slipping ... i think the game is harder to ref now and the refs are scrutinsed far far more. Add the two up and you will get more decisions getting made wrong.

I think the standards are much the same but the game has changed.

they need the assistance if they are gonn abe judged on every single decision like they are now.

You can't say they are getting more decisions wrong but also say standards aren't slipping. It's their decisions they are judged on.
