A good call this. I don't want to see again Fred and Mcshiiiit. Play Martinez there, persevere with Maguire and Varane.
Although Maguire was not great today by any stretch, he was not poor either, I thought he did some really good things. Welbeck just happened to be on it today.
I don't think we will see Martinez in midfield, but it could be an option. More likely that we will bring another CM in and Martinez will play as CB.

Bruno is fast becoming my least favourite player too when he was my favourite not that long ago. The drop off in his game is horror film material. Shocking.

Mctominay getting into our first 11 side I don't know why but I just feel Fergie played a huge part in this.
I remember Mourinho saying Ferguson was raving about him and under Ole, no shock got a lot of game time as Fergie was pulling the strings

I kind of agree, then he turns in performances like today and you come to the realisation of how limited he is. Unless he can improve his ball retention, decision making and develop an awareness of positioning, he will never be good enough.

Before today I was all for only going for players we really covet. However, I don't think I can watch McT in midfield again with Fred. We were better when Eriksen went in there but I do think Fred is better than McT as a partner for him. We could really do with two midfielders though.
Need to buy lots of players nothing much has changed in that regard.
Arnautovic is total desperation.
Need a RB, CM, RW, CF probably two if Ronaldo gets his wish.
Let's not forget Bruno here either guys. That guy is absolutely shocking right now and it pains me to say that as I was a big fan when he joined and for 18 months. But he's gone backwards as much as Rashy has. No idea what we do to these players at this club.
I suppose that could be the only crumb of comfort we can take from today. That hopefully (probably won't be) the end for Mcfred in the starting team.

Do people think the club have actually identified any player that isn’t someone that EtH has identified himself? This seems to be a key issue, we’re relying all our transfers on just the managers opinion which no top club does these days. The latest is Arnautović who EtH worked with at Twente.
