He's a proper embarrassment.

He bangs on about Liverpool fans yet the 5 people who pointed out that he was clearly incorrect included two Arsenal fans and a Man City fan. So it's another thing he was wrong about on this thread.

Gets things constantly wrong but lacks the self-awareness to realise, lacks the humility to accept when 5 people have said they are wrong. Lies about having said humility.

Its fairly entertaining, but you have to feel for Winston. At some point it becomes special education teaching.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If the City fan you are referring to is me, then I didn’t write that Winston was incorrect. All I did was ask Winston to elaborate on his comment.

Which he did.

So you’re wrong about that. Assuming that you were referring to me of course…

It all went quiet. Welshpool just can’t admit when he’s wrong.

Apologies, I assumed you only needed elaboration on the comment because it didn't make sense and was wrong in its original form.

https://news.sky.com/story/amp/energy-crisis-fuel-poverty-warning-as-price-cap-goes-up-at-time-of-chaos-for-economy-12422189

Here is an article from October 1st 2021 highlighting the causes of the energy crisis (or energy problem as you put it). Note the lack of Russia and Putin in the article.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And I never said there weren’t other causes.

Listen, we disagree about the extent of Russia’s involvement and we’ll never agree, but I will source some stats to prove my point, no problem.

However, that’s a different argument to the one the Liverpool simpletons are having, where they think saying ‘it’s not just cause’ means it’s the only cause. Anyone with half a brain surely understands that is nonsense.

Still waiting on these stats

Ot all went quiet because we established a long time ago that you completely messed up and got something wrong, because the concept of a pie was too difficult for you and that more than 5 people have had a good laugh at your expense.

It's hilarious that you bang on about others being wrong when you are the only one who literally announces that you will admit when you are wrong (but are incapable of doing so) just like you enjoy announcing that you are done with discussions (but are incapable of not responding).

Only one person in thus thread has embarrassed themselves so much that they ran from the site.

Yes, because a couple of pages of arguing is exactly the same.

Good to see welshpool is still reading these posts and hasn’t admitted he’s wrong at all.

More evidence. Lovely.

I'm not wrong. You claimed Russia's involvement wasn't simply a part of the pie. Pies can be whole or I parts so if it isn't a part then it must be a whole because that is literally how pies work.

You can't admit you were wrong because you don't think you are wrong, which suggests you don't understand the concept of pies.

Interesting that you said you won't get into these arguments anymore but you have shown the opposite is true. Just like you say you can admit when you are wrong but have shown the opposite is true. Just like you have often said you are leaving threads but shown that the opposite is true.

Why do you consistently lie about these things?

Nope, what I actually said was it’s not ‘just another’ part of the pie.

Which everyone with half a brain knows means it carries more importance / significance.

You’re misquoting me because you know when you actually write what I said, you sound like an idiot.

But FYI I was actually referring above to Ripleys telling you that you’re wrong.

Funny that you went quiet and didn’t admit it… standard for you.

posted on 29/8/22

Oh and I didn’t say I wouldn’t get into these arguments.

I said I wouldn’t argue to the extent I used to… endless pages of pathetic semantics.

So you’re wrong again.

This is too easy.

posted on 31/8/22

Yet here you still are over 200 comments later, arguing the semantics if whether one piece of pie can be more important than another piece of pie, when in reality they are both simply pieces of a whole pie.

What an embarrassment and a liar to boot.

posted on 31/8/22

No, I’m arguing that one cause of the current crisis is more important than another… quite an important subject matter.

And if you hadn’t noticed, you’re doing the same.

Oh and by the way, I haven’t lied. You’re calling me a liar because you’re upset that I’ve proven you wrong multiple times and you can’t admit it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not arguing about that at all. Once again, Winston proves he cannot read. I have never claimed any causes of the energy crises are greater than the current crisis, all I did was point out (along with multiple other posters) that your analogy was flawed and that it didn't say what you later claimed it said. Once again, you shouldn't make the mistake of thinking that you are smarter than me, let alone multiple other people - especially when you can't even follow basic posts.

I also note that two people who have called you wrong have asked you to provide proof of your claims and that you have conveniently ignored them.

I'm calling you a liar for all the times you have stated something and then done the opposite, as evidenced above. The fact that you twist and deny your own words in a desperate attempt to justify it simply makes it funnier.

posted on 31/8/22

“arguing the semantics if whether one piece of pie can be more important than another piece of pie”

Why say this then?

I’m not arguing that. I’m arguing that one part of the crisis is more of a contributing factor than others, which is why I used the phrase I did.

No quotes of what I said prove me anything other than right, and the people who think otherwise misunderstood the point I made because they are unintelligent.

That includes you.

I’ve not lied once and your claims I have are incorrect , but mostly borne from your lack of intelligence.

The issue is you think you’re right you’re too stupid to work out why you’re not.

No offense, Winston, but if you were half as intelligent as you say you are you wouldn't be carrying on the same argument for days on end.

There’s a difference between stubbornness and intelligence.

But yes, it’s all rather pathetic. Sometimes idiots like welshpool need putting in their place though.

It’s all Waterloo under the bridge for me.

posted on 23/10/22

So just to clarify, that's both weekend mornings that you woke up and thought about me, isn't it... don't you think your behaviour on here towards me is a little weird, and demonstrative of someone who has become a little affected by me?

I'd have a little think about that, if I were you.

Now, those stats were forgotten about because of the absurd argument about pie - all because you and welshpool can't admit when you're wrong.

But I did say I'd post some, so here we go.

The problem, of course, is that nothing I say on any subject will ever lead you to admitting I am right or that I've made a credible point - you know that to be true.

But anyway...

- Russia has cut gas supply throws to just 20% of capacity.
- Europe relies on Russia for 40% of its natural gas supply.

It's widely accepted that slight changes in Russia's supply causes volatility in the market; major economies such as Germany become more reliant on Norward and so supply for other markets, such as the UK, is affected - prices rise sharply.

- Following invasion in February, prices rose sharply. At the beginning of 2022, prices were comparable with November 2021 - at around $80.

As we reached March, it rose to over $110.

It rose 15% increase in just one week, having already increased before that.

The only thing that prevented this being even worse was the release of strategic reserves of gas supply - but this can only be a short term move of course.

The timing of those seismic increases fit perfectly with Russia's invasion.

Yes, prices were on the increase.. but not to that degree and to argue that the war is not a significant factor in the price rises would be flawed in the extreme.

Is that enough for you?

As I said, we know you'll never admit anything when it comes to me, so I'm not expecting much apart from more childishness from you... following me around, obsessing over me.

It’s probably more comforting than if he thought about you later at night in his bed Winston…small mercies and all that jazz …
