Board about to make another big mistake

Results tomorrow night might push things one way or the other.

I don’t see you losing ground, so he won’t be removed. As Smid said, the board will have their own way of looking at things, and that probably doesn’t marry up with the thoughts of a large number of fans.

Only 2 games left before the break, so doubt he’ll go in any case before then. Get players back fit for the restart and it’ll be a different outlook.

i think he's been hard done by tbh, lost key players and kept an ageing squad.

some young talent bought but not enough to really push for a title.

Who would have thought Aaron Ramsay’s missed penalty kick would be the butterfly wing that would start this hilarious hurricane.

Failure to improve the squad with their transfer dealings is coming home to bite them in the erchie imho......yes there have been one or two successes (Colak & Lawrence who looks a good player ) but not enough to rejuvenate an ageing squad. Hard to see anything changing for the rest of the season.

By contrast we've been agile in the transfer market and for the most part Ange's signings have been successful and have achieved the objective of improving the team/squad. Japanese DC already signed apparently and probably one or two more to come in January.

Gio has been shafted by his Board methinks

Aren't they under some kind of oversight from UEFA for spending more than they made the last few seasons?
Maybe they can't rather than won't spend.

Exactly!

The board should be backing him not sacking him.

FFP rules.

Don’t ask them what the second F is for though. They won’t understand it.

Sakala out injured now too. Ridiculous how many injuries we've got just now, both to starting 11 players and squad fillers.

I'm pretty sure rules are for others.
Maybe a leftover from their foray into the Mexican market.
To paraphrase the baddie in Gold of the Sierra Madre: "Rules? We don't need no stinkin' rules."

We're witnessing the inevitable legacy of David Murray's bampot

ambitions. Rangers financial decline is a generation old. He was

encouraged by a sycophantic media & BOS 'how much do you need?'

credit culture. 120 million as it turned out. The same BOS who tried to

close Celtic for a 5 million debt. Every individual and group at Ibrox ever

since have been forced to Make It Up As They Go Along. As in life, some

good guys some self seeking rsoles.

But it was Murray who opened up the gates.

Still baffled at the grief the Murty's and GvB's get.

Sir David Murray Benighted For Services to Industry?

Away wi murder.

They already made the mistake. If someone came in now, they’d have to work with a squad where is going to be overhauled next summer. 7 out of contract, 2 loan players and a few others you’d expect could leave like Barisic and Kamara.

As bad as Gio has been, the players have prior for not giving everything.

The injuries we have are ridiculous though, it’s not normal and clearly there’s an issue with fitness.

Accounts are out and tell a good bit of the story.

From a one min look, we’ve only made an operating profit of 6m even after Europa. Then there’s costs below the line for litigation of 6m.

Loans have gone up. So no surprise more cash hasn’t been spent. Makes the poor squad management even more of an issue. Although won’t include Bassey or Aribo.

Was there a scaling back of the medical and sports science departments in the summer. I remember some people moving on but don't know if they were replaced.

I think all this talk of Yilmaz going back to Turkey is bonkers. The boy is still young, he's only been here a few months, established former international player ahead of him, surely nobody including himself could have expected him to come in immediately as a first team regular? He's had a few games and looked promising but I always thought he was a signing for the near future rather than an immediate starter.

He was never being sacked at season start but now having started they have to take him as long as they can. If we accept that any new guy may not be able to get a tune immediately / any Jan signings might be tricky for various reasons AND there's the massive clearout end of season then they have little option?

I think we could be heading for shark territory despite the guff from fans about 'we have maer dignity than that'? The only other option might be an interim caretaker desperado but that would be marking time too. Tough times unless Celtic collapse.

I'll say again, we were roundly ridiculed for our unfortunate injury crisis last season. Only it was blamed on Angeball. Yeez are just unlucky, it happens.* That or we conclude it it hee haw to do with running about like dafties or strolling about the pitch like lazy bassas.

*It certainly doesn't help when you sign sick notes like Jack, Helander, Souttar, Davies, Roofe

Hee haw to do with that imho. Guys come and go all the time. Saw someone say the medic promoted from the B was useless? FFS all these guys are trained and qualified but are not miracle workers. And they use specialists all the time. On top of that most players have their own trusted physios they turn to all the time for second opinions and alternative recovery plans - they are desperate to return to action.

homesick and away he went?

If Rangers don't win tonight the board will have to act.

Could see them getting booed on, booed off at halftime and full time. A win tonight does us no good really.

You'll win tonight. Hearts at home is a walkover for you. It's the equivalent of taking your wee cousin to the park for a kick about and not letting him get a touch
