The more I think about it, the more I think this will be Kane's last season with Spurs. I can't see him signing a new contract, he wants to win things and will realize he won't do that under ENIC. Levy will have no option but to sell or risk losing him for free.

I can see the likes of Penited & Chelsea being in for him, they may be sideways steps at the moment but they will back their manager and build a competitive squad.

We will be worse off if Kane does leave, I can't see Levy replacing his output adequately.

The lesson to be learned here is to stop thinking. You clearly aint that good at it

100% if Spurs don’t get CL this season he’s off in the summer. The lack of contract news is telling. Such a shame our owners are part of the problem as to why Harry has never truly had a team capable of major success consistently. Their own fault for never truly building around a once in a generation talent like this that cost us nothing
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Kane doesnt decide if he stays or goes.

Levy will happily lose him for free @ 31 years old in 2024 than sell him now. He didnt sell him to City for the talked of 120m.

For Spurs fans, the Conte & Kane situation should give us hope, hope that Levy will realise the time is now and that to convince both to stay we have to be in a position to challenge next season. Deliver that and both could be at no better club to win stuff, except may be Pep's City.

Why are supporters so obsessed about media stories that Kane will be leaving. Mostly fabricated nonsense that panders to those of little intellect.

Every season the same nonsense, and every season our dopey supporters fall for it.

Fall for what? His contract ends in 1 year and half mate and there isn’t any sign of him signing a new one. Supporters have the right to be concerned.

These are genuine concerns, specially if Conte leave.

Kane won't hand around imo.

I’d much rather him go to Madrid than any English club.

Let him go. He deserves to win something and we need to get the maximum amount of cash from his sale.

Will be impossible to ever replace but it’s not the end of Spurs.

We will need better than Richy who has never scored more than 14 goals in a season.

We are soooooo far away from being a club that wins anything. Nowhere near even the Spurs setup that finished third in a two horse race.

Honestly I think if we reach another season of not winning anything, Kane would be interested in this. He would treasure winning trophies/playing in the biggest games over getting the PL record I believe. The goal record in the PL would be nice and all but when people talk about how good Kane is it's always with the caveat of having never won anything.

He might even be interested if we did win something to be honest. Madrid is a huge opportunity to win things regularly and enhance your legacy.

Levy would sell his mother for fackin dog food if there was a profit in it for him....he won't worry about it in footballing terms though.

And he certainly won't invest anything back into the team

Levy is far from perfect but he aint stupid. We have been waiting years for them to invest in a big way but really we are now at a massive crossroad where many of the factors are different from before.

1. We now have the resources to spend. Including the £150m released by the owners . The money is there. Not to go stupid crazy with it but well selected sizable spending - Like the Romeros deals - expensive but affordable, quality that improves us but still young.

2. We have Conte who, lets face it, it was a bit of a coup to get him and there aint many, if any, managers of his calibre out there who we could get. Him signing a new deal and staying will very much depend on us backing him.

3. Kane's contract is like Contes. Dont back Conte and he will walk. Conte walks, Kane will lose all faith and will not sign a new deal, and even if he sees out his deal who could blame him for his heart not being in it.

Basically, watershed moment which is quite different to such times in the past, most notably because we have the resources to spend and a top manager & DoF who we trust to spend big sums on.

That's my reading of it anyway. If it all goes pair-shaped then its all down to Levy/ENIC and the other added factor is that failure will see fans turn against the ownership in much greater numbers and that aint good for the brand!

It may all come down to the money.
100 Mil EU is Real's starting bid......
that will mean Levy has something like 200 Mil Eu in mind. If ENIC can get say 150 Mil EU for a 29 year old, they may well be tempted.
We all know ENIC, don't we.
And then, Harry has a say too. Maybe he'd like to win something worthwhile before he retires.
And the Real salary might be tempting too.
But as of this moment....its all rumor from the BBC.

I think the ship has sailed on Kane leaving Spurs. I don't see him going to Spain and he would only leave Spurs for City where he's guaranteed trophies. Only other clubs that could afford him are United, Chelsea and Newcastle and he'll not move to any of those clubs who have around about the same chances as Spurs for lifting trophies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Far more likely he joins us than real imo, though he’s be better there if he wants to win top trophies

Why would I need to be concerned if a 30 year old leaves the club. He won't be the first, and he won't be the last. Kane has been a great player at Spurs, but he is as culpable as anyone why Spurs never win anything. He never turns up in semis and finals. That's the difference between Kane and Greaves. Jimmy always scored in domestic and European semis and finals.

Greasy had title winning sides. Kane never has, that’s the difference mate. 60s Spurs are on a different planet to current bottlers ENIC era who don’t have a winning bone in their body. That’s our owners not providing the strength needed.

Its seems nobody would be too upset to see Kane move to Real Madrid for the final section of his career.
His training routines have always been one of the hardest and most consistent on the planet. Pochettino used to have to tell him to stop, enough!.
So he's fit and will probably play well into his 30's, say 34. Real need a proven striker, Benzima is finished at 36, and they missed out on Lewendowski and Haaland.
So, I think the BBC are on to something that is in the works right now.

Personally, I think its well past time Harry left...he's done more than enough for this club (and ENIC).
We'll soon see if anything comes of it!

posted on 12/1/23

Levy & ENIC need to make their mind up a decide what Spurs are and where Spurs are going.

Ideally they are prepared to build Conte the squad he wants over the next 2 windows, Conte & Kane sign new deals and we have a clear direction and desire to compete for the biggest trophies.

Either ENIC do that or else what`s the point, this club has been an irrelevance for far too long. If they are not prepared to turn Spurs into challengers, then they may as well sell Kane and part ways with Conte.

The whole club is just so meh and wallowing in apathy.
