And I'm not sure why people blame Meslier for our position in the table, there are 11 players in a team, if the whole team did things the way they should, than just maybe Meslier would have a little more protection instead off being walked over as often as he is!..

We've had some good keepers in the past, but would they have been so good if the players around them hadn't done their bit to help?..

If keepers these days held the ball a little more, then maybe they'd let less in, but then it could be said maybe keepers 40 years ago would have the same problems as now if they played todays game!..

The narrative around Meslier is very skewed. Young players in any position need protection, not constant exposure. Someone earlier mentioned Ramsdale, who looked woeful at the two clubs he got relegated with, yet moves to a club where he isn't constantly exposed and has been allowed to develop into a quality keeper.

Lot of people on here will look pretty silly if (when) Meslier is one of the world's best in 4-5 years.
