Unlikely to help with this summers recruitment then either way with the Glazers sitting on their hands.
I've heard that the takeover is being delayed by uncertainty with respect to players' futures. The value of the club obviously depends upon what players we have. I know there are still a number of questions floating about like "Who will we have available up front in the coming season?". That's probably the biggest one that is holding us back. We are obviously looking to sign a big name forward but do we need to for this deal to go through? We literally have a £70m forward on our books that is still suspended for some reason. Getting him back in the squad will give the prospective buyers that certainty that they are currently lacking to get the deal done and will encourage them to invest more into the club.
Let's let bygones be bygones and move forward for the good of the club and the only way of doing that is bringing back our forwards that are currently out of the picture.

The press coverage of this debacle has been hilarious and clueless recently. The past few days a Qatar announcement has been just 'hours away'. But nothing. Now they reckon Glazers havent contacted the Sheikh since the last bid was posted. And they claim they have now revealed that non disclosure agreement are in place to silence all bidders of progress. No chit Sherlock.
The MEN are one of the biggest jokers. They update every hour on this without having a Scooby Doo.

The reason he is suspended is because of a recording released by his girlfriend of him threatening her.
Why would we want him back?

In answer to the question about Greenwood it has been reported that despite no longer facing charges, Greenwood, 22, remains suspended by United, pending the outcome of an internal investigation into whether he brought the club into disrepute and was in breach of his contract.
Yes it takes this long to deciide that.

No, I want rules of proper behaviour. And I don't believe it is the best for the club.
The best thing for the club would be get Greenwood back in right away which will convince the Qataris to get the deal done. We can then move on now that everyone is happy and get Kane and concentrate on the title.

Does it though? If the club says he puts them in disrepute, expect a case that lasts till the end of his contract because he's definitely not agreeing to termination. Buying a striker at his rate is impossible right now for us and we cannot deal with a striker like Weghorst.
Penalize him financially, he has already been penalized in terms of football appearances. He makes a statement and gets back into the team. This sharade has hurt us too much.
Surely if the evidence was damning, it wouldn't have taken this long to decide?
I think he might get a 6/12 month loan and then be reintegrated if he performs well
