Rdd, read every word, 4052 times. It’s the only way to drum it into your thick skull

If he does come back, he should prepare himself for the absolute dogs abuse he’ll receive, and he’s only got himself to blame, cos he’s a wrong’un

To be fair I did reply to Scholay last night that if she came out and said it was some kind of personal trash talk etc then that may well change my mind. That's the extraordinary circumstances I'm on about. However, I see that as highly unlikely as surely, if that were the case, they'd have said that 18 months ago.

Don't let him taint the shirt again IMO. I'd rather line up for the season with Di Maria, Sanchez, Lukaku, Bebe, Prunier etc than have MG back.

absolutely, all you’ve said pretty much echoes my own thoughts.

The join the dots part of the article is what I’ve tried to explain to that odious little reptile rdd, but it’s like trying to teach a dog advanced quantum physics.

It's a summary of the facts, and what should happen , but probably won't.

Very fair comment and summation

Same view as me, sadly the club will bring him back because we know the priority is money.

I did read today that the club have made their decision and the reason for the delay was simply to explain to those close to the club before making it public. How true that is I don’t know.

Good read.

There is one particular nobhead on here who thinks all he did was 'talk to her badly'. Honestly, for anyone who has directly or indirectly been affected by sexual violence to hear the audio and then read that kind of view - it's just shocking.

I do in a way get the argument from those who want him back. He's an innocent man in the eyes of the law, people grow and mature emotionally etc etc. But people are still allowed their own personal views on this, and personally the audio makes me feel sick and is more than enough to make me not want to see him pull on a United shirt again.

If you want him back, fine. But to try and dismiss any opposing stance as irrational and hysterical is honestly quite disgusting imo.

I can totally understand why people want him away from the game. Public figure, privileged position, role-model to youngsters and he fcked up big time. I don’t agree, but I can understand it.

Where I have the problem is when people say, “don’t mind him playing elsewhere, but not for my club”

He’s still going to earn money, be a public figure, in a privileged position and be a role-model to youngsters.

Why is it ok that he carries on in the game, but not for us?

Because we don't want to see him in a United shirt. What other clubs do is up to them.

Quite simply I don't want him representing United. As a big club with clout we could set an example here that morals are bigger than money/trophies.

To be honest I'd forgotten how bad it was too such is the time that has passed and the debate that has rumbled. That's why I felt it worth sharing.

Surely the club know how their fans feel about him staying?

You'd hope so but if they look online they'll see a lot of support for MG too.

What would you want LFC to do out of interest?

I think, and I've mostly avoided commenting on the whole "Greenwood" issue is that everyone will have their own opinion on him and that's fine.

I despise any form treatment towards women like this and whilst I enjoy football and the excitement and joy it brings I will never want association with a man who I believe to be like MG, but as I said each to their own

They do, and a majority probably let's him back. If it was any other way I think the answer will have come sooner.

Having read through the article is does raise a point I haven't considered, if it was a lesser player who was never going to break into the first team would he have been let go by the club straight away? To be honest I'm of the opinion he would have been when I consider how Keane was let go after his interview

I thought that right from the start, a lesser player would be long gone by now.

This.

Personally, I don’t want to be associated with any organisation that is prepared to excuse that kind of behaviour.

Well then one can't take a moral position on it then as it would also be wrong for another club.
