How is this any different to wearing Chinese, Japanese, African or any other attire when visiting/living there in this multicultural world? Genuine question.

I don't think he's done anything wrong wearing the outfit.

What's.the problem here? At least it's not a Naazi uniform.

I think he can carry it off, I see no problem here.

What's wrong with it?

Did you want him to be flying drunk and assaulting DJ's?

He lives there and it’s their National Day, why would he not do this? I’ve spent time in other parts of the world and celebrated their national day with them, 4th July etc. I think he looks fine and is doing nothing wrong, you’re just after an excuse to stick the boot into him.

To be fair he's spent most of his life in Liverpool's traditional outfit

It's all part of sportswashing. What would all those oppressed women have to say about it in Saudi?!

Did they do that cringe thing where they asked an English footballer to say a few words in their adopted language?, please say they did

Just wait till UEFA roll over and give them some CL places. He’ll be back at Anfield in the opposition dugout in his dishdash. Probs with Mo Salah running down the wing at Trent.

Why the focus on just English players? It's not just English footballers that are asked to do that, is it? Natives across the world love to see a foreigner getting jiggy with their sheet. What's wrong with that?

Because most English players can barely speak their own language, never mind a different one.

The thought of Gerrard dressed as Lawrence of Arabia sounding like he’s trying to empty his throat is quite amusing

posted on 23/9/23

I always assumed Gerrard and Carragher were speaking in Arabic anyway.
