Is it good enough?

Are they not a little concerned?

Burned out from winning the treble last season. They'll be back. They've played Spurs, Liv and a bang in form Villa recently, difficult for any team given there injury troubles.

Not sure why anyone would be surprised. Remind me again who the last side to win four leagues in a row was?!

I think many were saying similar at this point last season.

Villa are excellent at home and the three other games they didn't win were draws with Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea.

That said, they're obviously not a strong as last year and there's a fair few players finding their feet in Gvardiol, Doku, Nunes, Kovacic etc and losing KDB is massive for them, as was Gundogan & Mahrez leaving. They're in a bit of a transition it seems to me and there's probably a hangover from the treble win as well. They're much better to watch than us as well!

After the treble last year, a wee dip was to be expected this season. Still favourites for the title and even if they don't win it, they will be there or thereabouts.

Let's see if in 10 games time we are still within 3 points of them ...............

Whilst I still think they'll be there or there abouts, one undeniable fact is that even if they win every remaining game, they can't reach the 100 point mark they set in 2018.

Liverpool are relentless and I don't see them dropping that many points, so City can only afford 2 or 3 more slip ups imo. The champions aren't likely to finish on a lot less than 95 points

Yeah they are. This isn't the City or Liverpool of a few years ago. Liverpool scraped 1-1 with Luton. There will be plenty of other away games like that. Both teams won pretty much every game in the 2nd half of those high 90s points seasons. No chance of them doing that this season.

Should mention Arsenal too here, though I think Liverpool just have a bit more firepower. Time will tell I guess

We'll see, I fully expect them to win the vast vast majority of their games. The 5 subs thing makes a huge difference and is why Klopp has front loaded his squad. They score many late goals.

But as I said, we'll see. Feel free to bookmark this

Good article.
But personally, who cares, whether it's Arsenal, Pool, City its all the same to me. I want it to be us.

I think there's a fair bit of wishful thinking here, not unlike when people on here said they could "see" Inter beating City when they reached the CL final, despite not once mentioning them as possible CL winners beforehand.

My gut feeling is that considerably more points will be dropped by the top teams than in recent seasons, and honestly, that's the way it should be. It's good to see that the chance of an upset seems to have increased slightly this season, makes the league more interesting - just wish we could get a result against the higher placed teams!!!!!!!

I understand the sentiment but in this case it would be nice if someone stopped City doing 4 in a row.

Don't know about no chance as I'd never write City off winning circa 15 games in a row, but do think you'll only need 86-88 points to win the league this year.

A bit of normality at last.

This City side is hugely overrated. The prem in general is currently overrated as well.

Think the prime Man Utd were better for sure.
