Yep.
We got a glimpse yesterday at how average
we could be if we keep picking up injuries.
If the club don't sign anyone this window that
roll of the dice may well keep us in this division.
Not sure if it was the players or the system yesterday. Gruev and Ampadu together doesn't work. Piroe looked rubbish up front. Gnonto looks worse on the right wing. Subs were far too late. If we had fixed these issues we'd have won comfortably.
Team v Plymouth 4th round FA cup replay.

Boro beat Chelsea, Bournemouth went to the bridge and beat them. The way we can play on the break, id fancy us to give them a good scare, especially as they don't have a CF. Villa away would be tougher. Chelsea v Leeds would be pick of ties. Id still ring the changes against Plymouth who if we cant beat, proves that our squad players aint good enough.

Yes but who’s coming with 17 games, fully match fit, who good, fit straight in, and which clubs are letting them leave, to come and potentially sitting on the bench for rest of season.

Think we will sign one maybe two. Probably be on deadline day

Would I want us to sign a player who has played 70 mins in last 8 months.
100% Not, especially when we already got 4 great wingers at this level 🤷🏻♂️
Leicester lost Casadei (was on loan) and went and signed a player from Inter Milan. We lose Spence AND Ayling and do nothing.
2024 and we still have Shackleton playing at full back.
Just looking at the side I selected for the Plymouth replay I actually think it could get us through to the next round and if so I'd play the same 11 in round 5 but barring that happening I think as long as they stay fit which is not certain but if they can then squad wise for the Championship with at least a couple more additions probably on deadline day now I truly think we would have the tools to get to 92 points and a top 2 finish.

Once again, as per, you're missing the point.
Southampton could use Benson to improve their squad.
We don't need him. As you and everyone knows,
we are stocked up front where Benson would play.
Our need is LB and RB. That's where we need to
upgrade the most. That's where we need to be
looking. We could also use another CB. We could
also use a goal scorer coming off the bench. We
could also use with another #10 option.
Can we land all of those? Yes, but unlikely. Do we
absolutely need upgrades at fullback. Yes.
Do we need Benson on our team? No. Southampton
do and they're aiming to football manager their squad
strength. They're also as good as us already and
above us in the league. It's not rocket science pal.
🤷🏻♂️
It's also not rocket science to know that we could bring in any player that we think isn't injury proned for them to play a game and end up injured, and it could be a long term injury!..
Injuries happen at anytime to anyone, and even the fittest get long term injuries!..
If we signed a forward in January I'd be really disappointed with the team. It's not a priority.
Watching the Leicester game yesterday their backups looked terrible and we're lucky not to be down a couple at halftime.
Love to see a cb for depth and a lb or rb.
As much chance as anyone for autos if we do that.
I’d be disappointed if we fielded a weak team in the replay, I’m sure the fans who make the trek wouldn’t be best pleased either. As for transfers, maybe a loanee or two will come in…I doubt we will buy anyone.
