Currently on holiday on a little Greek island, and just remembered we have a game tonight. Normally I would find somewhere to watch wherever I was, but absolutely cba with the team right now.

Historically United used to do quite well at home. Most seasons. We would lose 1 or maybe 2 two home games in the entire season. Even in the barren days before Fergie. Clearly that wasnt enough to win the Trophy. So doing well at home (75%+) is a must and how well you travel, makes the difference.

As everyboy knows, we are miles away from that these days

we've played 34 league games, so 75% of that would be c. 26 wins.

and the really damning stat is that we have 23 wins in all competitions this season, and even that requires counting cup ties that were level after 90 mins as wins.

so when i asked my calculator how close we were to this target, it just said "3104558".

I hear you, i'll have a look at the line up and might watch if it's an interesting combo... But honestly, i'm in arab mode of wanting the season to be over.

Only the likes of Mainoo, Nacho and Hojlund bring a bit of interest to the games.

Fergie was the master of getting wins against everyone outside of the top 4.

He didn't always beat Chelsea or Arsenal back in the 00s and the odd away defeat, but you could guarantee a win at Old Trafford against the likes of Newcastle, West Ham, Fulham and the rest

We need a top class defensive midfielder
A genuine winger
I good striker, to play with or rotate with Rasmus.

We honestly need to forget thinking about the league title for a good while and just concentrate on building a new exciting team under a new quality coach.

Right now if you just gave us a team that played decent football and as a team every week rather than a group of strangers it would feel like we were league champions compared to what we have now become used to seeing.

We could easily go 26 years again like the last major league title drought. We are already up to 11. Hopefully we don't and we get our act together soon but I don't think the next 3-4 seasons is going to be when we do it so that gets us to 14/15 years.

Jim and his team have a minefield to unpick sadly.

Been watching the snooker final, looking like a foregone conclusion, had it been a bit closer I may have watched the final session instead of firing up the firestick

We are miles away. Let's get back to playing some decent football and qualifying for CL regularly and then we can worry about the title.
