Unfortunately, I think you are right. Clearlake buy a top four club with an established squad and just make bad decision after bad decision. And just when we look like we've turned the corner, they do it again. It's like my club has been taken over by Arsenal and Spurs fans, slowly and painfully dismantling it from within.

They were a genuine worry. Poch started slow at Spurs but once he got it right we were away. Chelsea would have been in the CL within a couple of years with him.
I do wonder if Gallagher will be happy to leave now. Does he really want to stick around and potentially get benched by the new man. Chelsea will want the FFP benefit selling him brings.

I think concern over our finances are greater than reality. We've bought a couple of squads and potential is showing in many areas thanks to Poch. Tweaking this summer is all that's required, plus a striker.
Roman also knew what he was doing. The current owners are clowns.
