Not sure about this. He could not cope with the physicality of the PL so how he will go on being bullied and kicked around in the Championship I dread to think.

I see this alot, and am wondering where people get this idea from. Is it just historical thinking 🤷🏻‍♂️

My opinion is, the players in the prem, are quicker, fitter, more physical than the champ, players have more time on the ball.Thought last season, it was very tame to be honest. Summerville got alot of freekicks, but thats to be expected for quick tricky wingers.

Am genuinely interested to see what others thoughts are on it, because I havent noticed players getting bullied and kicked.

Maybe ive been blind too it

Probably will be some games where he gets bullied out of. But, unlike in the PL, you'd hope he has the technical ability to outplay a lot of champ defenders/midfielders. No idea how it'll go, but it'll be interesting to see if there actually is a player in there

Don’t care about his size. Bored of hearing that players are too lightweight.

If you know the space is and your touch is good enough it doesn’t matter.

Where he really needs to be a lot lot better is understanding when to release the ball. His timing was horrendous.

Can’t understand Marsch the idiot wanting to sign someone like him that clearly needs space to exploit and then compacting the pitch around him though. But Marsch is an idiot so what did we expect?

Not sure if it will work obviously. So many variables, of which confidence/fear will be as important as ability, which he has a lot to improve on too. But I imagine that given his real world value in comparison to his boook value we really don’t have much option that to roll the dice on him this season. We probably won’t be any better off for PnS purposes selling him than keeping him. So might as well give it a shot.

Would be gutted if we lost Gray. Maybe sentimental but aiming big keeping him could be invaluable in a few years and we absolutely should be able to win the league without the profit from his sale.

Was told Friday he was coming back, still think there’s a player in there, 50/50 wether Archie leaves, it’s massive money if he goes and we need to get a few quid in by the end of the month which all needs to be profit, there was talk of taking the points deduction but that was quashed last week, once that’s squared off we have a few quid to spend,

If he knuckles down like Gnonto did after his hissy fit then I’ve no problem with him or any others coming back. It looks like he prefers the chance of going up with us rather than another year fighting relegation in Germany.

He undoubtedly has talent and maybe Farke, in this league, can get a tune out of him.

Size doesn’t matter. Bremner managed fine in a time far more brutal than today.

Thumbs up from me - as long as he gives 100%. Then again if he had gone out on loan again I wouldn’t have lost any sleep.

I thought the timing of the Sinisterra sale was to ensure we would be fine for PnS?

Is there any indication of how much we need to get above the limit?

And also, I’m assuming this means the Red Bull money will only show in next seasons accounts. Hopefully that will relieve the pressure on this summer was the current seasons books have been ‘balanced’

Do we play him as a 10 or an inverted winger?

I'm hoping he would be Anthony's replacement. And we buy a 10 who is a good passer. Rutter to then play RW

He would have to do pretty-much-impossible 2 things imo:

[1] Somehow prove that he’s learned how to stop getting knocked over at the slightest touch.

[2] Somehow grovel sufficiently sincerely and re-build his shattered relationship with the fans.

I say ‘somehow’ in the anticipation that he wouldn’t be allowed anywhere near ER until he’s done both of those things … and I’ve no idea how he can do that so no, wouldn’t touch him with a bargepole.

100% agree light...

I'm struggling to think of a Leeds player in the last 30 years or so that I've disliked as much.

Thomas Brolin maybe, but thats it.

even players like Cantona, yeah it wasn't nice at the time, but looking back, and now not so blinkered by the United thing, he was an amazing player... can;t argue with that

It might be worth watching the square ball podcast this week.
Much was obviously made of the Orta deals that brought various players to the club last year but as far as I know Aaronson and Roca are on different deals.
We are contractually obliged to send Roca out on loan I believe this year but though Aaronson was the first guy through the door and as far as I know we were obliged to offer him the option of a loan deal last season, I think there's an active loan clause for Roca and Harrison but not for Llorente (though I may be wrong on this), Kristiensen or Aaronson. Meaning the ball is entirely in our court whether we send him out on loan or not.

I may be wrong, but I would have thought Archie’s value, over time, can only go upwards? I think it would be totally wrong to sell him, unless he wants to go and I think he is Leeds through and through so he would probably want to stay.

I am mindful of what happened with Jack Clarke, if he'd stayed with us and developed properly, I think he'd be a top top player by now but he took the fast track, easy option and his career hasn't exactly stagnated but it isn't what it might have been.
Archie's advisors might be well advised to flag Jack up as a beacon of how greed can sometimes give you a bum steer.

Think id rather have Aronsson that Rasmus. God he was shocking

Think we may end up with both though as no one will want them.

I think Archie for his age ain't a bad earner with us, and his feelings towards this club are well known, the only 2 things that'd take him away would be a stupid offer or the club wanting to cash in!..

He has family ties that'll be keeping an eye on him, if they feel its better for him to go that could be another argument, but everybody knows that they think the same of this club as he does!..

And players coming back, for me they can all stay away, but if Farke is happy than ok, players at the club now might not be happy and most of the fans won't be, but like some have said, he/they have to earn the right to put that shirt back on and have to serve it well!..

From the article:

"And though Aaronson departed to join Union Berlin in
the Bundesliga five days after Farke's arrival at Leeds
last summer, the deal had been struck before the
German's appointment."

^^^

So by that I take it Farke did not have chance to evaluate
BA to see if he'd fit his system or not? If so, and Farke
feels like BA can offer his squad something, why not?

I'm fine with it if Farke is.

Hell at this point why not see if Kristensen can give us
anything positive on the pitch. It's that or get three shackles and a kebab in transfer fees for him.

I'm also fine with the club offering, what I think will be
one year contracts to Cooper and Shacks. I feel same
about the offer to Drameh. All three could turn round
and say no thanks and leave though.

Not been a lot to get excited about yet. However, does
feel like the club's acting responsibly, sensibly. Far cry
from the Orta & Radz napalm days.

Kristiensen seemed to have a reasonable season at Roma making regular appearances, we spent most of the season with midfielder at right-back and maybe could have done with him there but if he is to return work needs to be done to help convert him to a centre back because that's surely his position.

With a senior squad of 27 players and a further 2 having been offered an extension some sure to be leaving soon

posted on 10/6/24

Watched him v Cagliari and he looked terrific, albeit a friendly match with little physical aggression from the opposition. He hasn't kicked a ball at this level and deserves the chance to.

Kristensen has no hope. I’m sorry but seen more than enough of him to see he’s got a similar level of technical ability to me!!!! He’s a million miles off the level of professional footballer.

So Roma finished 6th in Serie A. He featured in 29 out of 38 games (same as Llorente by the way).
I think there's nothing in his history to suggest we bought a guy who couldn't defend, he has a good pedigree, Ajax, Salzberg.
Does OK at Roma.
Do you think it was him or maybe the coaching he received? One J.A.Marsch where we should apportion blame.

Dennis kinda describes the gulf between premier league and championship. Rasmus might not be prem level but if Peltier can play in this league and 57, then so can Rasmus.

And:
3) rebuild his relationship with the players he let down last season.
This stinks of Leeds being broke as usual.
