If it becomes personal like that then yeah I can understand it. I personally haven't experienced something like that on this site thankfully. I guess for me my opinion stems from the fact I haven't had to put up with that and only people calling me an idiot.

I won't filter someone for calling my football related opinion stupid, or filtering someone for asking me why I'm posting something unrelated to United on the United board

Just for the record too on filtering:

I don't really do it unless I feel like the user is getting abusive, trying to de-rail a thread, or if there's a risk of disrupting the website by letting the user continue to post.

For example with Pun, I feel like for the harmony of the website we should both filter each other. Too much aggro like when two cats start fighting.

I actually don't mind him too much either and he's pretty clued up/got good opinions on movies too. So it's a bit of a shame but for the best.
